Firstly, near Kirriemuir is a bit loose lipped its 15 miles up into glen clova. Lovely trip in nice weather which we had. The hotel was delightful. Beautifully sited in the Glen. The dog friendly room was in the steading. Modern rooms with beautiful wood furnishings. New and clean and fresh. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff

The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. The bar, featuring a cosy wood burning stove, was delightful and served very good beer. The breakfast was excellent, the best we have experienced. Rooms were clean and well stocked with refreshments.

We went here with friends after their wedding in Perth. The drive up was stunning and a warm welcome was had when we arrived. Food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The only down side was we had the room over the public bar.

Used to come to Glen Clova with dad when i was under for walks and just love the place. More recently me and my partner stayed here over a weekend and had a great time. Lovely part of the country especially in the winter. The food was top notch we had the steak pie and venison burger, they were stunning. The climbers bar is a cracking place to chill and have a few pints. Can't wait to go back.

It's been a few years since I was last up here. The haar in Leith persuaded me to seek the sun so I booked in the morning and headed off to Angus, the long way. I usually drive up the "wrong" way of Glen Clova, and the other way on return to imise the views. The hotel is not at the top of the glen, but near enough, has excellent car parking. Add to that plenty of outside seating to drink leisurely as you appreciate the views, and it's very satisfying. The beer range is not great however, and my pint was iffy. My room was fine and comforatble, if a bit warm on this hot day. I had dinner as well, and the menu was reasonably extensive, and the food I had good, tasty, and well served. Decent wine too. Come the morning, a very good cooked breakfast set me up for the return journey. This is a great place to visit to see fine countryside and de-stress, evn if just for a day. Seems to be family friendly. Walker friendly, of course. Very good value for money, IMHO. On the downside, the wifi is poor. and in my room, non-existent.
