Woodford Bridge Country Club, Holsworthy

Just back from a 6 night stay at the Woodford Bridge Country Club.We both had a very enjoyable stay. The accommodation was excellent and to a high standard. We arrived later in the afternoon and went to the farm shop for some basics. Asked if there was any bread, but unfortunately none left. The gentleman running the shop told us we could have a loaf in 45 minutes, freshly baked and still warm. Sure it came 45 minutes later on time and that is what I call service. The staff in the reception and also in the restaurant were very helpful and pleasant. Had a couple of meals in the restaurant at night and food was very tasty. Good place to use as a base for touring in Devon/Cornwall. Would have no hesitation in staying here in the future.

Third visit - it is perfect for my work trips to the area. Bar food is lovely, pool and gym are a welcome bonus. Kitchen is well equipped and the pub quiz was a fun way to spend an evening.

Invited by friends with my partner to this lovely resort. Took four hours to drive from Birmingham and did not like the up and down hills, also the long long lanes. Once there though beautiful sites only pitfall was to go anywhere was at least a good half an hour drive to the local shop. Peaceful and relaxing place especially having a leisure on site, which had swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, somewhere to play squash, badminton and table tennis not forgetting a gym, what more could you want. Oh also a restaurant on site. Feel this is more a resort for people who want to get away without bringing their children, although it is children friendly.

Been here many times. An ideal retreat from the busy life back home in the midlands. The apartments are excellent having all modern facilities. Regular cleaning of the accommodation is great. Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff, nything not quite right was corrected with no problem (All minor though). Fully fitted kitchen.. smart tv. USB sockets. Wifi. Etc. Etc. Sauna, pool, jacuzzi. Gym all great. The only real problem was the electronic key system. We had them not working a couple of times, so got locked out. Had to all the way down to the reception for recoding (pity that it happened to us and some friends here too. However I would come again and certainly would recommend this place

We spent a lovely week in a lodge here. Very well situated for all the beaches around. Very good accommodation, housekeeping and staff. Leisure facilities lovely.Grandchildren enjoyed the peas and ducks around the grounds.

If you want to relax in comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting with peas roaming then this the place for you. Very friendly and welcoming. Great food served in restaurant. Bar comfy to sit in with a good range of drinks served. Swimming pool, sauna etc and pamper treatments can be booked too. Highly recommended.
