We had a lovely one night stay at this lovely hotel. Had a lovely 2 course meal and a bottle of wine which was well received although we could only drink this in our room. Our room was big and comfortable and well decorated. Our only complaint would be room was at front of hotel and there was a bit of noise front traffic. On saying this we still had a lovely stay.

Staff were exceptionally helpful, polite and efficient particularly in the restaurant. Room was clean and well appointed with nice decor. Food was excellent as were the views. The only thing missing was a bar area to have a beer or a coffee and look out to the sea and Arran on arrival or before or after dinner.

Hotel could be better at ensuring customers get the correct food bill especially if dinner is included in their hotel deal it happened to a few people .

Hotel staff at reception were very good.room Very good . Meal of steak pie was very salty complaint about it was talking away was offered something else so went for the fish as my wife had this and looked good so asked for my wife to be taken away as well so we could both eat together. When meals returned the fish I got was my wife first fish which was by this time cold but just eat it and when the restaurant manager came to talk to me about it the waitress came with the bill and she had offered us a comp drink but on seeing the bill was only for drinks she o your a dinner bed and breakfast I will see you in the morning about it . Come the next morning on seeing her I again said about the steak pie and I will get back to you and just left

First visit to the Waterside hotel to celebrate my birthday, Si Spa was just opened and it was amazing. Couldn’t fault the staff or the hotel. Would highly reccomend. Sea view room is so worth it!

The hotel itself was very nice but unfortunately we were given a room with a disabled shower sink and toilet which was just not suitable for us. The sink was far too low causing back strain for us and the toilet itself too high and the shower was very unappealing with a seat and plastic curtain . Fine for a hospital room but not for a luxury hotel break which we paid for. There was no room to put our toiletries near the sink and the soap was put above the wc which was not good when washing our hands. I did complain to reception but the lady said we booked a a disabled room! I only booked a double with wet room which I thought meant a shower. It did not say anywhere on the booking form that a wet room meant a room for wheelchair users or disabled folk. I really think the hotel.needs to make this clear if this is the case as it is so misleading. I asked to change rooms but was told the hotel was full..which it clearly was not. Very disappointed. I have complained by email to the hotel but as yet..I have not had a reply and it has been 4 days! Very disappointed. Take care when booking rooms if you are not requesting a disabled room.

We loved our stay here. The place was so beautiful and staff was certainly friendly. Their new spa for us was the best part. The views were amazing also.

My stay at The Waterside was just about excellent. I had booked one of the new sea rooms which was beautiful. Loved that you could open the French Doors and there was a window. Decor throughout the hotel is very tasteful like an American Beach Hut. The new Si Spa looks amazing. My only comments that brought it down a little was the lack of information about the Spa. It was a bit confusing as to whether residents had complementary access or not. Information in room wasn't totally clear nor did the Receptionist explain. The food was mainly great however we did have a chicken dish on the second night which was very dry and disappointing. Menu stated it came with a Peppercorn sauce but when asked we were told it didn't. The staff were lovely and it's so dog friendly. A dog bed was placed in room along with bowls. Overall it was a great stay but these couple of wee points brought it down to 9 out of 10. Renovations are fabulous. Well done !

This is an absolutely gorgeous laid back place. Really enjoyed our stay. We struggled to eat three courses each night, food was tasty. The superior bedroom was clean and had everything we needed. The new Spa and treatments are first class. Loved it!

Superb room, good quality food. Only two issues. A member of restaurant staff pursued us from restaurant and in a public area tried to tell me that I hadn't paid drinks bill. This upset my wife as we had previously paid the Restaurant Manager. I went back to restaurant and Restaurant Manager apologised.......but damage was done. Spoilt the evening. The second issue was that the buffet style heated breakfast was cold. Food was good quality though.

?????????? A Wonderful Hotel Break I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The surroundings were lovely, the food was excellent, and every meal felt thoughtfully prepared. What really made the experience stand out was the staff — they were accommodating, professional, and genuinely very nice throughout my stay. Their friendly approach made the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming break.

Lovely hotel , staff and food great. Main restaurant was getting refurbished so we had dinner in one of the suites what spoiled the atmosphere for me as i have been previous .

Room was lovely but disappointed to see the restaurant was not yet opened. When I booked the website said the restaurant would be open the Friday before our stay.

Lovely hotel nice staff only thing that let it down was the room it was really nice but being on the front we hardly got any sleep because of the road noise it's a busy busy road if we stayed here again we would have to have a room at the back to see the difference

Hi we have had good stays here recently but this time was a bit of a disaster we were allocated a room in the new wing it was room 401,the water in the shower was not warm, the noise in the room above was shocking as we got no sleep and also the car park was getting redone and we were not informed of this.the dessert my wife got was biscoff cheesecake but it was like blancmonge and very runny.then the resteraunt was also getting renovated which we were not told off.it was like a maze to get to the new rooms.all in all we have always found it nice and peaceful at the waterside but not this time.if we return we would want to stay in the rooms in the bit above the resteraunt.

Not my first visit to the Waterside, and it still did not to disappoint Overnight stay with a group of friends. Brilliant to have a Atrium to meet for pre dinner drinks Very big and comfortable room Only suggestion would be to have more walk in showers as these need to be booked in advance Also recommend pre booking dinner as only slot available was 8:30am due to size of party Fantastic breakfast which sets us up for a walk on the beach before the journey home. Overall an excellent stay and would return again

Staff lovely and happy to help can’t fault them at all the room was spotless bed was not that comfortable got to say my back was sore had very restless sleep but everything else was fantastic Dinner was nice Breakfast was disappointing would have preferred the cooked breakfast fresh and disappointing in the hot items their was not much their no eggs apart from scrambled eggs but was empty when I went then their was 2 sausage ( links ) left and so me and my husband shared the last of them and my husband couldn’t have potato scone as their was no left but the cold breakfast fruit etc was lovely so only thing was that let it down was the bed and the not so much of a selection breakfast and another thing 49.50 for a bout of Prosecco !!! Come on that’s ridiculous and it wasn’t even an expensive kind at that but would go back !!

We had a beautiful sea view room with balcony. View was stunning. Hotel gardens picturesque. Bed very comfortable and plenty pillows. Tea making facilities. It was a wild day and we sat with our prosecco and watched the sea at the patio doors.

Wet room had nowhere to put toiletries/ tooth brushes. Would definitely benefit from having a shelf at least.
