Had the most amazing night for valentines at the Marine Troon - we were delighted to be told we had an upgrade to a sea view bigger room as we had our dog with us! Beautiful room which made the trip even better. The service from check in to dinner - breakfast and drinks in the bar was second to none. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure the stay was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and a great choice of both continental and cooked options. We would definitely recommend and will be sure to be back!

DISAPPOINTING My friend and I booked a night away at The Marine, Troon as a treat. Our room was super, but we had to pay £30 in advance for them to split the bed into 2 singles! Bit of a rip off! The beds were most uncomfortable. Dipped in the middle. Soft mattress. Old beds. We did have an amazing view from our room. Dinner was very disappointing! We ended up with 3 menus. I had a little slice of pork belly. I was extremely glad I also ordered chips! I would only recommend the fish n chips. The menus are far too pretentious! We wanted dessert. Again, gave us 3 menus. Yet only ONE menu had any desserts on it!!! In all honesty, we'd rather have eaten out... Breakfast was OK. No big deal. Disabled parking isn't great! ONE space only! Overall, not the best experience, especially for what we paid. What I will say is that the staff were excellent. Especially on the reception. Not what we expected I'm afraid.

Had a fantastic overnight stay at the Marine Hotel at the weekend. Its the first time we have been since the refurbishment work had been carried out and what a difference. Everything from the decor to the staff and the food were all 5-star. Cannot wait to return.

Had a great stay. Very relaxing. Food amazing and views stunning. Only negative was the heater wasn't on when we arrived in our room and it took a long time to heat up as a very cold day in November. Could also put fire on in the bar area.

Astounding service from every member of staff throughout every area of the hotel, best service for many years anywhere. Location of hotel beautiful to sit out at tables outside and relax with a drink. Views from pool, restaurant and bar are fantastic. New facelift decor sumptious and has kept in keeping with the hotel architecture itself, very timeless classy. Will return time and time again, especially since they are the best staff in a UK hotel ever.

We really enjoyed staying at your hotel from the minute we arrived we felt very welcomed lovely refreshments and staff to greet you in lobby also reception the girl that checked us in was so polite,friendly and bubbly. She’s the perfect example of what great front facing customer service should be at any hotel. Your hotel is very lucky to have her. Sorry I never caught her name. We checked into our room our bed was super comfy, and hotel left my boyfriend Prosecco on ice to celebrate his birthday. Room and toilet very clean. The restaurant for dinner was beautifully decorated lovely chilled vibe and great food and drinks. Staff again very attentive and lovely. We used the spa facility pool,sauna,steam room and jacuzzi was all lovely and clean. The Sun loungers are super comfy all padded so you just fall asleep very relaxing. Last o the breakfast lovely room to eat it in again staff are so nice plenty to choose from continental to hot buffet. They do eggs to order which is good as they are nice and fresh. The pork sausages were the best within the hot food very tasty butcher quality. I do prefer a made to order breakfast as I think some items dry up in a buffet. But you definitely won’t go gry in the morning. They also put out rolls so you could make a roll up which is good instead of having a fry up. I would highly recommend this hotel it won’t disappoint.

Had a really nice stay, good comfortable room and any issues we had were quickly addressed. Leisure facilities were great and we both had a treatment in the spa which was great. Food was good and tasty, only slight issue was we were not informed of 10% service charge before we gave a gratuity. I believe however that there is a bill going through parliament at the minute concerning the legalities of this issue, considered to be a hidden charge.
