on check in to the hotel we were met with work going on in reception due to a burst pipe, it was only when i went to the spa i was advised that there was no available throughout the hotel, something that reception failed to tell us on check in so for the first night we had no . the service and food from the restaurant were very good, overall we enjoyed our stay

Room and evening meal were 5 star, the only criticism I have was the breakfast as one of our party had to wait 10 minutes after everyone else was served and when it did come it was a wrong order

Room was great, and very clean. The bathroom was huge with a lovely roll top bath. Only problem was the bathroom was far too warm. The food was absolutely fantastic. The leisure facilities were not great but we would still stay again.

I would recommend the Fairfield Hotel, a short walk from Ayr beach and town, receptionist was friendly, professional, leisure facilities are adequate for use, staff friendly, nothing was a problem, our room was clean, comfortable and thankfully on ground floor, will definitely stay again

The room (No44) was pleasant but the outlook over a flat roof which we think was the kitchen with all associated ventilation pipework and also into a room opposite was not. The en-suite was on the small side but the towels were wonderful and the Aqualisa shower was excellent. The service we received from the staff was good and from the duty manager was very good.

This was my 2nd stay at The Fairfield and 1st since its been part of the Rad group. Last time was faultless. This time while it was still lovely it was good enough for me to go a 3rd time. I had an awful sleep due to the room being near the vents/ducts and the pillows were really really awful quality. Small, lumpy and hard. The room it's self was big and apart from some dust here and there and marks in tbe carpet ot was mostly clean. The bathroom was big, water power was great and the bath was fab. The bottom of the shower screen really needs a good clean or to be replaced. The staff were all friendly, attentive and efficient and the food at dinner and breakfast was great quality. But a poor sleep has left me not wanting to go again unfortunately.

The site of the hotel is excellent, close to the sea and the shops. Room was large and spacious. However, only one extremely uncomfortable chair was provided, not adequate for 2 people. The window was a slanting velux type with no blind, which meant daylight was early! I didn't expect to find an iron board propped against the wall at rhe window. Tissue box on dressing table was empty. The bed, although large was the worse I and my partner have slept in. To say it was hard, is being kind!! I mention the worse of the room, however, plenty of and towels provided. Food was good, service from staff excellent, and not too long a wait for meals. The lift was a bonus for our luggage. I found the hotel a slight disappointment, due to the above mentioned. Having used the hotels within the group several times over the years, this has been the first let down. If the deal on offer means the discomfort experienced, I would think twice before booking again. (not what expected from a 4*)!

The room we were in had a mirror as a window and only a small window at the top of it. That made the room pretty dark. The room itself was a good sized room and comfortable.

We occupied an executive room which was extremely spacious. However, both the living space and the bathroom are both in need of an upgrade. Also, the window had obscure rather than clear glass, which was disappointing. The service was generally fine, particularly in the restaurant, but the reception desk was unmanned when we arrived and, when we rang the bell on the counter, it was some time before a staff member appeared. The food in the evening was excellent and could not be faulted. The breakfast was generally fine but a wee bit overcooked on both days and, whilst there was bread on offer, there were no rolls.

Had a fabulous 2 night stay with my wife and 2 kids at the start of the week. Hotel was brilliant from the start. Check in was simple and the staff were so friendly and welcoming throughout. The room was exceptional. We had the bramley family executive room. Was huge. Large double bed and sofa bed. Massive televisions for each part of the room. Stunning walk in family shower. Leisure facilities were brilliant too, we spent a lot of time in there... we dined both nights and the food was delicious. The location of the hotel is amazing. As close to the beach as you could get with lots to do if you have kids, also just a short walk from the town centre. We will certainly be back

This hotel is lovely. Its in a good location for a nice walk along the coast. The food was nice but the chef needs to learn to fry eggs.

We stayed at The Fairfield House Hotel for 3 nights as we added on an extra night. We had a fabulous stay. Our room was huge. We had evening meals as part of our deal and every meal we had was superb. The staff were all terrific, nothing was too much bother. Cannot praise them highly enough. Would definitely return.

Lovely weekend with good food and pleasant staff ruined by an awful room. We stayed in Room 57, sold as an "Executive" Room. The room did not live up to the description. It was dark, claustrophobic and airless due to a coombed ceiling with a skylight that let very little air in. The area around the skylight had badly peeling paint and mould around the skylight frame. The bathroom was small with mould around the shower floor, a faulty faulty toilet flush and no extraction fan. The pillows were old, rock hard and very lumpy - you get better quality in a Premier Inn or Travelodge. I have fedback to the hotel and am still waiting for a response.
