Enjoyable stay with friends at The Gables. Rooms clean and comfortable although tired looking. Staff delightful. Food good although I myself had a setback with my starter on the second night.

Went for 1 night on the 29th October 2017. Plenty of parking spaces, went in but the room was not ready as we were too early, We filled in our details then went to the Gateway shopping centre. when we came back our room was ready and we were very pleased with it nice and hot and very cosy. The evening meal was excellent, and the staff very friendly. There was entertainment in the bar which made a nice change. Breakfast was very well served and plenty of it. All in all we had a great stay and would certainly go back. No complaints at all

The room was dated... The carpet had a lot of stains. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom tiles needed grouting as some of them were discoloured. Our radiator in the bedroom wasn’t working....luckily it wasn’t cold outside. We did report it. However the dining rooms were excellent. Food was exceptional.

Me and my husband were supposed to go here last Sunday for an overnight stay but I was ill. They let me change the date at a moments notice and we just returned today. The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was also exceptional, we will definitely be returning

Lovely hotel in a nice, quiet setting. Very friendly staff. Handy for shopping at the outlet village and in nearby Carlisle.

This was a really good deal for us ! Hotel was quiet as it was end of season I guess ( booked as part of birthday present ) staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and the food we had was pretty good all in all pretty decent hotel ! Would recommend it ! Only Noam would be the heat in the hotel our room seemed to be warm all time even when window was open ! The heating was off in our room but still very warm ! Had to put fan on at one point !

We stayed at this hotel for our 45th Wedding Anniversary and we had a lovely time. Everything was perfect, from the friendliness/helpfulness of the reception staff, our bedroom with the four poster bed and jacuzzi, the quality, variety, presentation and choice of food was excellent. All the areas in this hotel were clean. All the staff we dealt with were helpful, friendly and smiling. I would certainly have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.

I've stayed at The Gables before and will stay again. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Accommodation spotlessly clean and the food excellent. Bar prices very reasonable. Went on a special deal. Amazing value. Don't hesitate to book here. You'll have a lovely time.

Super stay. Friendly warm welcome, lovely clean rooms, super meals, good service, great value break, smashing location for Outlet and well placed for Carlisle too. Recommend. Free parling and wi fi.

We stayed for one night on the 1st of October 2017 with friends to take advantage of the hotels Sunday night saver offer. We had a great time, our evening meal & breakfast the following morning were very good. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly & efficent. On the Sunday evening the entertainment was excellent , the singer in the lounge was fabulous. He really made our stay complete. Thank you to all at the Gables for a lovely overnight stay, which proved to be excellent value for money.
