Really enjoyed our stay again. Love this Hotel. The location is perfect for a relaxing winters break. Staff work very hard & are very friendly. However, communication between staff in the Hotel & Spa, & also with customers could be better. We were told from one staff member that the shop & cafe would be open on both the Friday & Saturday but it was closed both days. We also had a note mentioning that the spa, pool & gym would be closed between 1 & 1.30pm for cleaning, but this was not the case. Customers also should have been notified of the pool closing at 4pm on the 31st of December. With the cafe next door being closed it would of been nice to have coffee offered in the Hotel but this was not available until 12 noon at the bar. There was no light lunches available like soup or sandwiches but we coukd order chips. A mention goes out to Caroline at the spa for a lovely salt scrub massage. Also thankyou to the staff in the restaurant & bar.

Had a nice night in the hotel. Dinner was superb. Unfortunately the breakfast and service at the breakfast was how can I put this. AWFUL. Dinner 10 out of 10. Breakfast 0 out of 10, on top of it serving out sour milk, waiting around 10 minutes for fresh milk

A good value, two night, winter break. We've been on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The restaurant, as always, impresses with a menu that's imaginative, creative and artistic as well as being delicious. All the staff we spoke to were very pleasant and helpful.

Fabulous overnight DBB stay with use of great leisure facilities. Evening meal was delicious we upgraded to extra supplement for Fillet steak which was delicious. Breakfast was amazing too. Good selection. Will be back again in 2022!

The hotel was very nice, food was great, and the staff very attentive. Unfortunately, some aspects of the room let the whole experience down, especially in the current pandemic situation. 4 points; There were large cobwebs along the ceiling and walls. The wall lights beside the bed were covered in dust. When I arrived in the room, there were cake crumbs on one of the bedside tables. The bed sheet was too small for the mattress so I was actually lying on the mattress protector cover. I dealt with these points and it didn't spoil my enjoyment of my break. Others may not be so tolerant.

Had a lovely overnight stay at the hotel with my grandson We walked in the afternoon along Falls of Clyde Then returned to hotel went for swim and jacuzzi had place to ourselves grandson had great fun Hotel well looked after room was nice and clean Staff very helpful and curtious Food was delicious ? Would definitely reccomend and will be returning

A very enjoyable stay. Comfortable spacious room overlooking the Clyde. Fell asleep to soorhing noise of river. Lovely dining room with good space between tables. Service good with attentive staff and a varied menu. Smoked haddock fish cake was fab. Pork main was a bit overcooked but tasty veg. A great place for a relaxing break in historic surrounds.

What a stunning location. Had a great stay with family and enjoyed the food in both the cafe and restaurant. The whole site is extemely well maintained and clean, wouldn't hesitate to return. An easy 10/10

Although they suffered with lack of staff on our first night the girls in the restaurant were excellent and I doubt if anyone really noticed that there were only two coping with service. Meals were of a high standard at both breakfast and dinner.

Disappointed to have been charged twice for the same booking. Three phone calls and email to sort and then to wait 5 days for refund. Breakfast was overdone and not the best. Everything else was lovely. Done cobwebs in room.

A few issues with our room - bits of broken glass on bathroom floor, phone in room not working, bedside light broken. Dirty cup and spoon. After raising these issues he cleaners were immediately in room to tidy. With the amount of issues wrong they wanted to upgrade us to another room which we accepted. All staff from reception to cleaners were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Could not fault the staff.

We had a lovely time. Staff were great. Reception staff very helpful and patient. Restaurant staff were absolutely brilliant. Although short staffed everything went perfectly waitress service was perfect.Food delicious. Room very comfortable and spotless I did think there would have been dressing gowns. Pool area good. A lovely setting for a hotel. Will definitely be going for another visit. Well done.

Hi everyone this was our sixth time going to our favourite hotel, the staff were pretty good only one person I would let them down was the young girl who severed in the bar, always disappearing from her post and we had to go and find her, which wasn’t to far she was always talking to the receptionist on the desk, apart from that we had a great time as usual, different suite this time not our usual one as we like room 38 and we got room 37 still comfortable but we like room 38 better

This was our third break in this hotel and yet again found everything to be fabulous. Fantastic value for money. Will definitely be back again!
