Our first visit to this fantastic hotel from the first foot into the hotel we had a fantastic visit, our rooms were first class very clean and very comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant and was very impressed and would highly recommend visiting this hotel and restaurant again

Amazing hotel, stayed here lots and will be back! Means a lot to us as this was our wedding venue in 2023! Staff amazing and food fabulous! Some rooms slightly dated but still very good and clean!

Usual high standards at this hotel. Have stayed here many times, however this time there were some drunk residents who caused a lot of noise during quiet hours, shouting, arguing, kicking and banging doors.

We had another great stay at this hotel, it's the 3rd time we've been here and we have found it to be a very good hotel each time. The staff are very efficient and the food is of good quality and choice , the rooms are clean and well spacious. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.

Booked a 2 night break dinner 1st night which was nice decided to book restaurant for 2nd night stay before arriving as restaurant menu looked very good and prices reasonable unfortunately we weren't given a choice of menu 2nd night another festive menu seemingly they were short staffed. We felt we should have been told about this before arriving for dinner at 7 & not our fault short staffed. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare queues for breakfast & hot drinks. Overall hotel was lovely apart from these issues & dog poo on foyer & corridors.

I had booked this for my husbands birthday,what an experience we had,from checking in to our lovely room with a bottle of vino waiting for us,staff amazing and food to die for then next day a lovely breakfast.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Riverside. Quick friendly check in. Bar and restaurant area lovely. Photo s don't do it justice! We had a delicious three course meal, friendly ad polite service. Great choice of menu. Bar and restaurant both busy which gave it a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is a cold and hot buffet. It was very well presented and delicious, especially the haggis ! Outdoor seating area looks good and we would like to return in the warmer months to sit outside. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay.

Restaurant is terribly run, asked for a e while having dinner still waiting. Service is terrible! Breakfast was awful was nothing there when we came down and the bacon they brought out was still raw, sausages tasted like cardboard. The room was lovely but the bed was comfortless, my back was agony in the morning! I wouldn’t bother booking

Nice hotel very friendly and helpful staff good food comfortable beds and rooms are a good size and clean we had a minor issue with the heating but this was resolved quickly and with little fuss would recommend for a nice short break

Excellent, helpful staff. Beautiful bar/restaurant area...food was fabulous. Room lovely but bathroom bit dated..really the only thing I could fault. Well worth the money and definitely would stay again.

Lovely local night away Food was lovely dinner and breakfast Service at dinner was very slow Bedroom was small on the ground floor and needed some TLC looking on to houses Bed and pillows were super comfy slept great. For DBB and bottle of wine...great buy and would do it again. Maybe upgrade to bigger room next time

We had a lovely stay at the Riverside Lodge. We’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times before and have always really liked it. The hotel reception and lounge area is clean and modern with lots of comfortable contemporary furniture and very welcoming feature fires. We had a fabulous big room on the ground floor with 2 double beds . This was obviously an upgrade as mentioned in our myhotelbreak deal along with a very drinkable bottle of red wine. Dinner was delicious and all staff were very friendly and helpful at dinner and breakfast. We will definitely be back and have no hesitation in recommending the Riverside Lodge.

Once again, we had a lovely stay. Set menu on the first night was excellent. Turkey dinner was a feast. A lovely welcome from Katherine and her team in the restaurant. Room was lovely and warm, with easily adjusted heating. Cannot fault this hotel and look forward to returning again soon.

The hotel was lovely, food lovely & staff were excellent,the only thing was I was in room 217 & with no lift it was not ideal as we are both disabled, I mentioned this to the girl when checking out and stated that I would give the hotel a call next time to ensure we are on the ground floor.
