we chose this hotel as we had family living nearby, the hotel was really lovely. we had an immaculately clean room. and enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant. we could not praise this hotel enough . breakfast also tip top. Big mention to the staff who could not be more friendly and helpful . only tiny comment would be the man who guess was manager in the evening,, he made big fuss of groups of people who were obviously locals and totally ignored us.. we will return and highly recommend this hotel . a hidden gem

Lovely room staff very helpful, friendly and attentive. Good quality Internet and although we only had a one night stay we were pleased to see that daily log in wouldn't be needed should we return for a longer break. Good quality local produce served for breakfast we didn't manage to sample any other meals but going on breakfast should be good.

Lovely room, friendly staff and excellent food.Yes the building needs some work but we felt very happy with our stay.The good coffee with freshly cooked breakfast were excellent as was the evening meal. Friday night steak meal fantastic.Good selection of bottled local beers. Montrose a good base for a short break.Room very clean.

Pros: Spacious clean room, staff all very friendly, dinner in restaurant excellent on both nights Cons: poor shower, breakfast not particularly fresh nor varied, 1 hour wait to be seated for dinner on first night although to be fair this was acknowledged by the offer of a complimentary drink.

On arrival we were impressed by the friendliness of the hotel receptionist who was also very helpful the following day. The rooom was lovely and well equipped - I especially liked the complimentary toiletries. Very impressed and will defintely be staying again in the future.

A really pleasant night spent in the Links Hotel. Not 100% perfect but friendly staff and the best steak I have ever tasted! We'd go back again - great value for money.

The superior bedroom (No: 28) was fantastic. Fluffy bathrobes and beautiful toiletries in a well appointed modern bathroom. Very spacious Bedroom with lovely decor and very comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was fabulous -local produce so well presented and flavoursome. Breakfast had eveerthing you could wish for. The staff were friendly and efficient and made our stay very welcoming. Brian the Manager is a pleasure to deal with and has a great team. The Links Hotel is a great hotel to visit and we would highly recommend a stay here.

Spent three nights in The Links hotel in Montrose. Had a lovely stay and received great value for money on a three for two nights deal. Great location near all amenities. Nice hotel, pleasant staff and lovely food.

We were in a recently completed room. It was lovely. I couldn't fault this hotel or its staff. A tiny thing - and only since you ask (!) a soap tray in the shower would be handy!

As we were only on a B B for 1 night the food was very good. Room great. Reception Staff and dining room staff were very polite and attentive.
