We booked a 2 night midweek break with 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner . The package was good value , we especially enjoyed a swim both days , the pool was quiet . Our room was nice and quiet too , the food was fine as well . The best thing about The Woodlands is the staff , they were all very nice and safety conscious keeping the place clean and safe for us all . Top tip , room 119 for a good sleep in a quiet room .

Very nice hotel and leisure facilities, spotlessly clean. Friendly staff and plenty parking. Exceptional value for money for the deal we were on. Approximately 30 minute walk from the town centre.

First time at Broughty Ferry , sun was shining and got to sunbathe on the beach and a swim in the sea..lovely wee town with loads of eating places and pubs . Woodland Hotel was lovely , nice dinner on 1st night and breakfast was lovely with loads on offer and eat as much as you want , hotel and room was spotless and room had the best power shower ever ! staff very friendly . Excellent facilities, gym , steam room and swimming pool..all in all excellent value and would go back again

We had a great 2 night break - lovely room, great food & we found all of the staff very helpful & friendly. Leisure facilities are good & were only let down by the broken sauna. We would definitely come back again.

Food and staff were very good particularly the girls and boys that waited on dinner and breakfast tables. The only problem was our room (131) was above the beer garden, overlooked the hotel entrance and bore the brunt o the noise associated with having fun and al fresco smoking. The problem got worse on the Friday night when a wedding party arrived and took the party out to the front entrance of the hotel when the bar closed. The en rammy then lasted until the small hours. Everyone loves a good wedding but it's not rocket science for the management to book only the wedding guests into the rooms at the front of the hotel. So the hotel is fine but if you book ask for a room at the rear of the hotel, check if there is a wedding during your stay and above all else avoid room 131.

Really enjoyed this break was very surprised with the quality for a very reasonably priced hotel. Room was spacious and clean, bed was very comfortable and although there was a wedding in the ballroom on both the Friday and Saturday we had a great sleep with no noise that disturbed us. The evening meals were really excellent quality and choice it was first class,The breakfast was plentiful but some items were not the best of quality. The food was only warm at best as it was served from hot plate buffet style with server. The lids were open most of the time we were in the queue.All staff were very attentive and helpful with no issues with request for different table at evening meal as we were not to comfortable with the larger table next to where we were being shown too. This was addressed immediately and professionally by restaurant supervisor Jac. Would certainly recommend it and will certainly be returning in the future. The Covid19 precautions in place made you feel extremely safe apart other residents that must have been exempt!!!! Carry on the good work

Asked for a dust & allergy free room. The dust was thick round the light switches , on the headboard, There were cobwebs thick hanging from corners of the rooms The tops of units were all sticky looked like due to whatever cleaning product they were using. Luckily the bed was comfy

Room we had was in need of refurbishment mattress was awful I asked housekeeper to check bed she said needed new mattress but they had none otherwise bedding clean as was toilet towels ect. Staff in hotel very nice & polite would not stop us going back.

Room was very clean and more spaceous than expected. Bed and bathroom linen good quality. All staff we encountered were very polite and extremely helpful. Only adv comment relates to hot food at breakfast which was lukewarm. The ban-marie type hot plate was not kept at a high enough temperature. However, on the plus side; the choice of food available at breakfast was very impressive and of good quality.

The room and the catering were quite satisfactory and the staff polite. Considering that the hotel is listed as part of the Best Western group, the one thing that did let the hotel down was the lighting in the dining room, on three of the light units, there were light bulbs blown and on one light unit of three bulbs, NONE of the bulbs were in place and as a result, not illuminated at all.
