Winnock Hotel, Drymen

Problem on arrival with housekeeping so had to wait until room was ready but were offered a drink on the house while waiting. Room was small but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Good location for Loch Lomond and the village of Drymen is very picturesque. Staff need to smile more!

Recently my wife and I spent two nights dinner bed and breakfast at The Winnock Hotel Drymen through a great deal with Classic Britain.We were in disabled room 77 which was clean and spacious with very comfy twin beds ,large T.V. and tea and coffee making facil.The only drawback was that there was no walk in shower as my wife has difficulty entering and exiting a bath.Another slight drawback was that I had to negotiate my wife's wheelchair through about eight swing doors, two function rooms and down a short metal ramp to reach the dining room. I must admit that if any staff or even guests were present they were always very quick to hold the doors open for us. The food was well presented,very tasty and piping hot and the menu was changed each evening. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull but Laura whose pleasant and very efficient service in the dining room deserves a special mention as she is a great asset to the Winnock.We would have no hesitation in recommending The Winnock Hotel specially for anyone wishing to tour the Trossachs and surrounding areas. After checking out we purchased two juicy delicious sirloin steaks from the local butchers next to the hotel for our dinner on our return home.

Fab night at the Winnock, great deal, dinner was superb, room amazing, bar prices ok and staff very welcoming, friendly and hard working. Our room was spotless. Lovely cosy bar area with log fire and entertainment was really good. Will definately return.

Wonderful 2 night stay here only marred by some noisy guests in corridors at night.Bed was very comfy and slept well second night once the noisy ones had left. Had lunch in the Ptarmigan bar both days and couldn't really fault this either. Lovely novelty with the barmen in kilts ?

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back. The windows were a bit draughty that's why we didn't give the room a higher score.

Had a fantastic stay for my partners birthday, room was modern, spotless clean, bed extremely comfortable, the staff we helpful and friendly. We had a three course meal as part of our package, the food was lovely, I had pork loins cooked to perfection and my partner tryed the vegetable curry he said it was delicious, we were extremely surprised as our drinks Bill was lower than we expected for such a nice hotel, lovely homely touches the coal fire seating area, very cosy definitely recommend this hotel

Everything was excellent but slightly marred by the fact that the breakfast plates were not at all heated. Naturally, being a buffet arrangement, the breakfast food was cold by the time we got our tea and started to eat our breakfast.

poor wifi reception, and only available in the lounge. Very busy with bus tour drops arriving and leaving. Did not have a relaxing atmosphere, but obviously suited those who were hiking in the area.

Lovely stay with friendly staff, bathroom was beautiful . Food very good and reasonable priced along with the drinks . Gavin behind the bar was very helpful & David the barman was very efficient , friendly &and clearly loves his job.

A problem with lack of hot water the first day was resolved by the General Manager who also arranged a generous reduction to our account. Otherwise, the De-Luxe room was very, very good. Meals were excellent. Service considering the level of activity and friendliness of the staff is to be commended.

Staff were friendly helpful and attentive. Room(23) needed a good cleaning especially on the window frames, and areas of the bath/shower although did smell of bleach. Sinister dark damp stain on ceiling in corridor where a note said maintenance were aware, but appear to have done little to rectify the problem. Uncomfortable bed, settee and chair in room.
