Angus Hotel, Blairgowrie

My wife & I have visited this Hotel several times before & have never had any issues & have always found the staff very welcoming, efficient with excellent service with meals above average. However, on this occasion I was unimpressed & really quite upset that my simple advance requests were not met on initial booking for a basic ( walk-in-shower) due to mobility issues, the room allocated was over bath shower, which was a major issue for me & also situated at the front of hotel with traffic noise which I grossly dislike. The receptionist advised with a shrug of “Take it or Leave it” attitude, that they apparently had NO notification of my specific requests made through (My Hotel Break) & that they had no alternative room to suit my needs, when I had no choice but to reluctantly accept the situation, which greatly impacted on my stay, but if I ever return to this hotel in the future, which I very much doubt, I’ll phone prior to ensure basic requests are adhered.

Great setting for this hotel in the heart of Blairgowrie. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had booked dinner bed and breakfast and prebooked the spa which has been refurbished to beautiful standard. Food was delicious very varied menu my steak was cooked to perfection. Room was cosy double no view and was very warm.

Had a fantastic time at the angus Hotel. Room was very clean and tidy. Food was excellent. Leisure facilities were excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel

spend a lovely couple days in the angus hotel for a special birthday ...staff very helpful...food lovely ..breakfast very organised n staff at the server were very pleasant n most helpful ...some parts of hotel have been upgraded n was very nice ...pool ,sauna,etc were all free to use and had a lovely couple hours relaxing..would most definitely be back ..

What an amazing stay at The Angus. We could not fault the hotel in any way. Excellent price, pleasant decor, good food in the restaurant, beautifully refurbished pool area. New sauna and steam room and large jacuzzi. Well worth a visit. Friendly staff, very COVID aware. We will def go back.

Our stay on the whole was very nice. Staff were pleasant food was nice. Unfortunately we had to check out a day early as my husband was unwell, not covid related. I was asked to pay £85 for checking out early, I refused to pay and said I would rather stay another night than pay £85 for not using a room and not eating breakfast. The receptionist called for someone else who said they would sort this for me..thankfully she did, but it was a bad ending to our break. Linda

The rooms were clean and staff were lovely but the breakfast not to mention the high tea were rotten.the high tea wouldn’t feed a mouse a quarter of a sandwich each and a burnt sausage roll.

Hotel is Clean, Tidy, self check in is required, we had to ask for help and receptionists obliged us, staff are lovely, Breakfast has all you need to start the day, Hotel is situated in centre of Blairgowrie, a lovely park across from Hotel, which is lit up at night, large Tesco behind hotel if needed, local pubs a stone's throw away if you wish to go elsewhere for a change, large gazebo for people who want to use it whilst having a beverage, at breakfast you are taken to your table and waitresses bring your tea, toast etc, you only leave your table to collect your buffet of hot Scottish breakfast is allowed, the girls who are dealing with the tables are run off their feet but always curtious if you ask for something, all in all we had a lovely stay

Had a fantastic 3 nights stay here and enjoyed every moment. Pool was fantastic, food excellent and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely too.

We had a nice stay the food was good and the staff very attentive. Our room wasn't the best supposed to be a king size bed but certainly didn't look like it. The room was very warm and when we opened the windows it was noisy and a bit smelly because of the extractor fans at the kitchen. The shower curtain also smelled musty. We would use the hotel again but perhaps not this room.

My husband and I love a stay at the Angus in Blairgowrie. We’ve been three times now and intend going back again! The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent and the rooms are perfectly clean and well furnished, but maybe a wee bit old fashioned! We have recommended this hotel to family and friends and a few of them have enjoyed staying there too.

Hotel clean food good staff friendly paid extra for square view was lovely but very noisy as main road so be aware of that
