I was quote disappointed as the room was standard but quite dated the room phone didn't work so had to use my own phone to call reception for room service, the shower didn't work very well and the WiFi was poor, we also had a late check out but housekeeping entered our room before we had checked out wondering why we were still in it! The food and entrance to the hotel was lovely but rooms (well standard ones) were disappointing

Check in was quick,receptionist asked if we had booked dinner,which we had.Room was comfortable. Dinner was lovely. Breakfast had plenty of choice,only issue was people had to keep asking for mugs,resolved quickly.

Lovely staff, good food, cosy clean bedroom and beautiful public areas. Great value on the 2 nights DBB deal, can't wait to return.

Been before & wanted to go again as it was so good. Lucky enough to get two upgraded rooms (only on offer if available), very much appreciated! The hotel is gorgeous, facilities fab and food was all delicious. Staff were lovely and in particular the restaurant staff, smiling, helpful & courteous. Just a little problem with radiator in room that they said will be looked at straight after I reported it to reception. That’s trivial so giving 5 stars as it’s fully deserved. Booked again for next month, but hope to stay longer in the Spring rather than the Lake District where we would normally go.

Four of us had a thoroughly enjoyable two night DBB break at the Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine. Comfortable rooms with an excellent breakfast and dinner both days. To be recommended, don’t hesitate to visit.

Overall this hotel was great. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and accommodating. The food was very nice, with a good choice. There were only small things that let the hotel down, some dirty plates at breakfast and dirty cutlery on our table a couple of times.

We had a welcoming, clean and spacious room. Staff were professional and friendly. Evening meal was delicious. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet. A welcome change as many hotels now serve a set breakfast which they started opening up after lockdown and haven’t reverted to the buffet where you can easily choose your preferred selection of items. We arrived early and enjoyed coffee and a scone in the bar while our room was being prepared. We would visit again.

Had a lovely stay would just like to make a couple of points: Wine in the room was warm as was left without a chiller. I have rheumatoid arthritis I didn’t realise the extent of the distance to the rooms, our room was on the 2nd floor (no lift) and at the furthest end of the hotel which I found difficult. I now appreciate that I should have made a special request for ground floor. The room was nice, staff, service and food was excellent. I am due to return in January.

Beautiful hotel, room was amazing. Food choice was great, even though it was part of a package. The staff couldn't be any mote helpful. This was our second visit and definitely won't be our last.

Had a great overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. Room was great dinner was lovely and breakfast was fab as usual.Service was first class also. One of our favourite places to visit. Will definitely be back.

2nd stay at the Hotel and couldn't fault it. Staff friendly at check in, rooms clean (ish) a few stains on carpets. Only the shower needs an upgrade but Still worked fine. Definitely stay again.

Another visit to this lovely hotel. Yes it's not close to any amenities but the staff and accommodation are 2nd to none. The food is above standard and plentiful. I'll be back as Arnie said lol

Love this hotel, been to this hotel a number of times and always enjoyed ourselves every time. Staff are first class and the food is excellent. We would recommend this hotel to anybody and everybody.
