Lovely clean hotel great size room everything was well set out to deal with the current situation the food was not the best, we have stayed in this hotel before and the food was really good so was quite disappointed

Was disappointed with check in Arrived at check in time 3 pm to be told room wasn’t ready. We went away came back at 4 pm to be told room still not ready After sitting in lounge for another hour we eventually got in room just after 5 pm ! Bedroom furnishings could do with a refurbishment.. dinner and breakfast was fine ...

Lovely time, well organised and friendly staff, however I did send an email to the Angus hotel as I was disappointed in the room. The room itself was comfortable but I had paid extra for a room with a view of the square and room 110 which wee were allocated had a view of the roof of the beer/smoking tent that has been erected at the front of the hotel. We also had the noise of this in the evenings and again at 6am when the tent metal furniture in the tent was cleaned and moved. I requested the reimbursement of the extra money paid for the room, I have not even received a reply to my email sent over a week ago, this is very poor customer service, Disappointing!

We had a fantastic time at The Angus Hotel. Plenty of choice with breakfast and dinner. Hotel is still having parts upgraded but this did not impact on our stay.

Great staycation. Hotel, room & bathroom a little dated. Leisure just opening from refurbishment. Stunning, will be fab once finished. Food was amazing as were the staff at reception, breakfast & dinner. Always smiling and nothing too much bother for any of them.

Had a lovely time until last night as I slipped in Bath and injured my leg and yes I was holding the grip rail there should be bath mats in Bath for safety I mobility issues so I would need a room on same floor as lift and a room with walk in shower

Overall we had a really good stay in the Angus hotel,my only fault was that the room was small and dated,could do with a refreshing of room,the food was really good ,dinner at nights was superb, breakfast really good too no complaints atall about food,staff were really pleasant and very helpful. We as had a swim in the pool which was excellent ,it's nearly finished on outside . Yes we enjoyed our stay,only room let it down a bit

Felt service was slow at breakfast and dinner. Check in and check out was slow also. Used a voucher as part of my bill and this was taken off at check in and bill was as it should be. When we got back home I realised they had added voucher to my card to pay. Contacted hotel and this was rectified.

Excellent hotel for money paid. Clean and tidy. COVID precautions sufficient. Staff were excellent. Always polite, helpful and attentive. Leisure facilities not fully available but understandable as upgrade underway. Breakfast and evening meal very good and value for money. We will book again

Great for a short break, pool area will be lovely when finished. A little disappointed with the dinner menu, very limited and not the download menu on the website.

A very well needed break for us both. We had a cosy double in with booking and it really is cosy. Too small we struggled but made the most of it. Fantastic offer 2 nights dbb with afternoon tea. So we couldn't complain on room size. Staff very friendly and helpful and food was good. All in all a good all rounder.

Had a fantastic stay all Covid protocols in place . Special mention to Kenny who looked after us in the restaurant and at breakfast and Claire who sorted another room for us due to a water issue . Fabulous food . We had 2x breakfast, 2 evening meals and high tea . Hotel is being upgraded and look forward to seeing the courtyard etc when it is finished.

Had a lovely time at the Angus hotel food was amazing ... staff were so nice and went out there way to help you... the only thing i would say is there was like a sewage smell in the bathroom which wasnt pleasant dont know if it was because o the renovations.. the hotel is gng to look great when finished

Where do I start... Sat night we got a cosy double even though I had said I needed a walk in shower due to back issues. Bought a bottle of wine called wicked Lady £21 it was warm. Waiter was new and said fridge was broken. Ice bucket was given. Husband said Lager wasn't nice. We left and went to another beer garden. Our room was tiny following day I asked for one with shower lots had left. They gave us key to another room much bigger. But noise from fans from 6am woke us. Food was just ok. Booked breakfast for Monday but was full emailed reception and they emailed back saying 9am. 9am no no no u r booked at 9.45am go away till then. Breakfast was not good out of items. And then on Tuesday no breakfast tea and toast as restaurant shut mon to fri. Building work swimming pool was so cold we couldn't swim in it. Was told changing rooms out of order go down with towel from room. Definitely would not recommend absolutely awful. Oh and Sunday bottle larger only as pumps failed and coolers broken. And I had to help a 3 yr old child out in corridor as Dad locked him out of room just in a nappy. Dad was sleeping I had to phone hotel who phoned dad to wake up absolutely a nightmare

We really enjoyed our stay,all staff friendly and attentive,food good only afternoon tea not as good as last time visited scones very hard,overall well worth a visit.

Our room had no socket anywhere near a mirror which was very inconvenient. Meal on Thursday night was nice until I found a very long hair in my curry. The next night we waited more than half an hour between starter and mains. I ordered steak and it was almost inedible and the peppercorn sauce was disastrous. On telling the young waiter he shrugged and took our plates away. I asked him to fetch me the manager and after waiting ten or more minutes I discovered he hadn’t yet told the manager. The restaurant on the first night was absolutely freezing and the outdoor area had no heaters making for a very uncomfortable drinking experience. I will not be back and will not recommend.

Service rooms food excellent, just opened, but wine/beer was warm, pool cold and still under refurbishment, dissatisfied with this. I would use this hotel again.
