Concierge and reception staff were particularly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Dinner in The Club House Restaurant was excellent.

Clubhouse restaurant did not have two key items on the menu which spoiled our 1st evening meal hotel should have provided some form of compensation eg free bottle of wine or complimentary drinks

i find the service and hotel excellent however a little constuctive criticism i find it very annoying the over the top the manner of the servers in the dinning room firstly giving an introductory speech before we order then constantly interupting while i am eating to ask if everything is ok or do i wish more drinks we just say yes ok to get rid of them quickly the staff are quite irritating trying to gain points or a tip and really it is a turn off as everything else about the hotel is excellent surely the staff must realise if there is a problem then we would complain there again it might be in the training ? it does detract somewhat from the otherwise nice dinning experience saying that i always enjoy my stays at the hotel but now feel like saying to staff on arrival for gods sake give me a break back off and just get on with serving and let me enjoy my meal perhaps because of the 5 stars rating staff are trying just too hard or perhaps they get bonus points but trust me this behaviour is putting guests off a bit thanks again for an otherwise great stay at the hotel and look forward to my next visit thanks again

Enjoyed our stay very much. We ate at the Squires resturant not knowing that on the Sunday night the Esparante was closed. Having explained this at reception that upon check in ,this was never mentioned or displayed we where disappointed the receptionist was extremely helpful supplying us with the clubhouse menu and booking us a table. Would stay again .

The most beautifull room we have ever had. Impressed with the dog bed, bowls and blanket and the attention the dog got from all staff. Lovely setting, helpfull staff. Spa wonderfull. Meals excellent.

We really appreciated the extremely comfortable bed and lovely bedlinen which led to a great nights rest. I also loved the rose scented soaps, shower gels and body lotions provided. All in all a wonderful stay and we certainly hope to return.

Another great stay at the Fairmont. Staff always there when you need then, but never in your face. Very relaxing. Only disappointing note was the change in bar menu, pretty much down to 2 choices which is poor. a year ago nearly a full menu, 6 months ago a smaller menu to almost non existent. Forced to main dining room, which was lovely, but with a 16 month old not always practical (although he was on best behaviour in restaurant). Very relaxing overall and great friendly staff as usual.

We thoroughly enjoyed our break. Have been at this hotel previously and cant wait to return. Only critisism is that the steam room in the spa was too hot to sit in, otherwise it was almost perfect.

Menu was the same for both nights. Expected some alteration. Tried to get shuttle bus into town but was told it was full but they have two and were using the smaller one when had they used the larger one there would have been plenty of space.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short break at the fairmont the staff and hotel were second to none I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
