Only negative regarding stay no sitting area next to the dining area and also breakfast was self service previously waiter service which we prefer, as food is freshly cooked to order.

Great location. Road side bedrooms can be noisy from passing traffic especially if windows open as no A/C. Everything else was great with views of rolling hills, golf course and 2 to 3 miles out of Peebles

The hotel was lovely as usual and the meals of a very high quality. However, a lack of staff meant that there were long waits between courses. Having Wi-Fi throughout the hotel now instead of just the lobby is a big improvement.

Great two night stay and great value , got upgraded to golf view executive room which was nice . Breakfast was a bit crazy both mornings and the cold buffet was practically empty . Dinner on both nights was excellent and the food was of a very high standard . Made use of leisure club and discount off spa treatments which again were very good . Would stay again and recommend.

Enjoyed our stay. Overall service was good. Reception staff excellent. Service at breakfast and dinner between courses very slow to point of having to remind them after 25 mins, our order for toast, tea cooked breakfast had not been taken.

The Sunday night deal is great value for money and we will be back. The food was great and my wife went for a spa treatment which she said was perfect. The facilities cater for all and good for even families. Our only criticism was the service at dinner was extremely slow but hard to complain when the food was as good as it was.

Our hotel stay was excellent. Rooms clean and very comfortable and food and waiter service first class, especially Joseph who was very efficient but also had time to make us laugh. Would recommend this hotel and will definately be making a return visit.

We enjoyed a one night DBB deal which was great value. The hotel is nice & staff friendly & helpful. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Dinner was excellent (as part of the package) with a good selection for each course, made with good, fresh ingredients. We both enjoyed our three course meal which was more than enough. Breakfast, was also very good with a varied selection of hot & cold options along with nice bread and pastries. Becaus of the excellent value we were quite happy to have afternoon tea in the hotel, wine and a few drinks with our dinner and use the SPA and golf facilities. I can't recommend the hotel enough, especially if you get a good DBB deal. We have used Classic Britain a few times now to book this hotel & will be booking again in the future.

This is our second stay and we find the hotel is excellent and very good value on the late deal. We will definitely go back. The room was lovely and staff are very professional, helpful and friendly. Beautiful location.

Just back from a two day golf holiday at the McDonald Cardrona hotel at Peebles.It was the best golf holiday ever.I found the golf very well priced and the course in magnificent condition. Food, accommodation and staff were all excellent so can't praise them enough.Will be back thanks again for a great holiday.
