What can we say, Absolutely great stay we were here for 3 nights with our dog and the welcome was great all the staff were extremely friendly, the room was spacious and clean and the meals were great,my wife and I cleaned our plates at every course . We had read some negative reviews about the food and honestly don’t know what those people could complain about every item we had was well cooked and extremely tasty we would thoroughly recommend visiting and we are looking forward to returning in the near future.

We had a lovely stay at the Rob Roy Hotel on 26th & 27th May 2019. The room and bathroom were a good size and spotless. The grounds of the hotel were also spotless . The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent, compliments to the chef. We will definitely be back.

We had 3 nights in the Rob Roy hotel in Aberfoyle and, never having been here before, I was a bit apprehensive as we had managed to get a good deal. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The food was well above my expectations considering the amount we were paying. The food and the service was excellent. A good menu and a good variety of courses.

Very nice hotel staff were pleasant and polite room was very nice and clean and a good size comfortable bed car parking and around the hotel was very good the breakfast on both mornings was really good, now the bad points the evening meal was terrible on both nights the three course not a good one out of the lot we are not fussy eaters but never enjoyed anything we had in the evening meal, it was a cheap deal but we would have gladly paid a bit more for a better evening meal witch was just edible . Overall a good hotel let down by the evening food

Fabulous bargain break, staff were very friendly. Good idea to have separate dining rooms for coach parties and other residents. Only thing I’d like to improve is an area for people staying who are not part of a coach party to allow them to chill I comfort at hotel.

We stayed here on a three night break including breakfast and 3 course evening meal. We didn't expect to have such a choice for the evening meals but with a choice of 5 starters and 5 main courses we were pleasently surprised. We had chicken first night lamb second night and roast beef our last night. The breakfast was buffet style and was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. I will be returning in June for 3 or 4 night break. The surroundings are perfect too. We love walking and was out every minute walking, we came across an animal sanctuary in the forest and had a trip on Loch katrin on a 100 year old steam boat. This hotel is highly recommended by us. Can't wait to stay there again.

We have just returned from a 2 night break at the Rob Roy hotel in Aberfoyle. What a great deal it was and would give this hotel 10/10 for everything. Meals were lovely as was the breakfast, staff were lovely too and very friendly and helpful. A lovely walk to Aberfoyle via the cycle path at rear of hotel which only took 20mins takes you to the centre. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Had a lovely stay for our anniversary. Just what we were looking for. Hotel, rooms, food, service & location cannot be faulted. First night there were coach loads which was fine, there was music etc. Even had a wee dance. 2nd night restaurant was busier. My only negative was there could have been some back ground music playing in bar. Not really a complaint though as we enjoy our own company. Staff were all friendly, professional & helpful. We would return.

Stayed 2nights on dinner bed and breakfast offer. This is our second visit and value for money cannot be beaten. The hotel needs smartening up somewhat but the rooms are very clean and comfortable, although one chair in a double room is not very good. The main thing missing for us is a comfortable lounge to have a quiet drink before or after dinner. The dining room is nice and the food is fantastic for a hotel of that standard.

Had a great break here with my brother Thomas Thomas is downs syndrome, the staff were fabulous especially the entertainment guys. Thomas was up singing his Elvis numbers and dancing the night away A very relaxed break, food was good but breakfast especially so . Haha Thanks everyone, we will be back later in the year

Had a lovely time at this hotel. Rooms are nice and clean and the food was extremely good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and, best o, the hotel is dog friendly so I did not have to worry about finding someone to take care of my dog. Would certainly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

Lovely stay at the Rob Roy. The entire hotel is spotless. Dropped a couple of points for the bedrooms. We were in 114 which would appear to have been recently refurbished. Only drawbacks were a shortage of sockets and the bed was a bit on the worn side ( although still perfectly serviceable). Other than that, every aspect of the hotel was first class. Special mention must be made about the staff. Nothing was a problem to them, and great to see smiley faces. A credit to the hotel. Definitely return.

Good value for money will be back only criticism evening meal portion size a little small had salad both nights no coleslaw potato salad etc would rather pay a bit more was left feeling gry apart from that very nice stay breakfast time a bit confusing and early i know you need to cater for coaches but don't forget your other patrons

Having driven past the Rob Roy hotel for years without stopping, my wife and I decided to book a two night stay on a bed & Breakfast & Evening meal basis and I wish we would have visited the hotel sooner. From the minute we arrived we enjoyed our stay, the hotel is spotless in all areas, staff are so very welcoming and any request is met with the comment “it is my pleasure or that is no problem”. The evening meal was well presented and tasty with a good choice. Breakfast was of an equal high standard, the hot breakfast was buffet style with a good selection and the black pudding & link sausages were superb, but should you wish something not available on display such as poached eggs you only had to ask and it was freshly cooked and brought to your table. The rooms were comfortable with a well-stocked welcome tray, if you required extra, this was available from the reception. The television was a flat screen model with a very good reception and free Wi-Fi in all parts of the hotel including the room which also had a strong signal. Towels in the bathroom were changed daily if required and were large fluffy, bright white and soft. Unfortunately we were not in the hotel when any entertainment was available but the reports we had was that it was first-rate. For those who wished a stroll into Aberfoyle a path was sigh posted from the hotel and the town was easily reached. I would most certainly recommend it to anyone and I will be booking another stay shortly.’

A basic hotel, but the rooms are clean and the food very good-large portions, good choice of home style cooking and served hot! Great value for money. It is in a good area for touring the Trossachs. Lovely walk into Aberfoyle.

Found this hotel as part of the winter sale which was a great deal. The hotel was lovely and had good amenities and friendly staff. There are a few pubs and a golf course just 5 minutes away which serve food if you don’t want to eat in the hotel. The twin room was quite spacious with tea and coffee facilities. We had sandwiches and toasties for lunch which were lovely and reasonably priced. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice from fruit, cereals and full English. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely book again.

Excellent stay, food very good with a good variety. Staff excellent and accommodating. Have stayed there several times and has always been a joy. Highly recommended.
