FANTASTIC HOTEL! SETTING WAS STUNNING! WILL GO BACK AND HAVE A LONGER STAY. GREAT PLACE FOR HIKING THE VALLEYS. ROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND COMPLETELY OVER THE TOP! MEALS WERE WONDERFUL AND STAFF SO LOVELY.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in with my hotel break. Room was really comfortable spotlessly clean and beautiful furnishings. Glorious views as hotel is in lovely rural area. Staff friendly and efficient. Great choice of menu both for breakfast and dinner and the food was fabulous! Would certainly recommend and can't wait to return!

Lovely hotel in a superb location high up on Northumberland with views across rolling fields and hills. Our room was extremely nice - twin room number 234 - which was a large room with two huge double beds and views across the adjacent fields and hills. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated and modern. We used the pool, sauna and jacuzzi every day and all were very enjoyable. There are windows around the pool area which offer lovely views on a clear day. The staff were all excellent, very willing to help and very courteous. The food was excellent. We were on a package so the dinner menu was limited. That said we had access to 5 starters, 15 mains and 6 sweets without having to pay any surcharge. Whilst it was a long drive for us from the North East of Scotland, it was a very enjoyable drive through some lovely countryside (rather than non stop motorways all of the way) and past some very nice small towns and villages which are excellent stop off points during the journey. Would have no hesitation in recommending the Derwent Manor to anyone thinking of booking a stay there.

A weekend of total relaxation. The food is absolutely amazing, it's punching way above a 3* hotel, it was on a par with a 5* stay. The breakfast was the best I've had in a UK hotel, such range and all freshly cooked. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are lovely. We got a lot more than we expected from the stay. Staff were all really lovely, friendly and helpful. Any questions we had they were helpful. Will be booking again soon.

really good hotel,we had a refurbished room which was 4* quality,the staff were all first class as was the food.The only problem seemed to be the standard of workmanship with the refurbished room fittings eg wardrobe doors off their runners,bath panel not correctly fitted,toilet seat with broken fitting,bathroom door would not lock and both window catches poorly fitted so we had to close the curtains to keep the drafts out,.all this said we would reccomend this hotel and look forward to another stay in the future and we are sure the management will soon iron out the teething troubles with the refurbishment.We wish to thank all the staff at Derwent Manor for a wonderfull stay.

We had a wonderful night away. Beautiful setting, luxurious room and fabulous food. The bed was huge and comfortable with amazing pillows. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were an extra treat and all included in the price. We are booking up to go back soon.

Beautiful Hotel well worth the money couldn't fault it.. we stayed in a new refurbished room it was luxury. Also included in the price was a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival .Breakfast and evening meal superb .. A safe would be a useful addition to the room. A better kettle in the room would be better than a coffee machine. Lower the rails in the refurbished cupboards as a smaller person cant reach them. Fried eggs at breakfast should be a standard option. The jacuzzi in the leisure centre had covers missing from the vents , a health and safety issue. Having said these points we will would come back in a heartbeat.

Had a lovely stay and would go back. Although the room we were in didn't look to be refurbished yet, it was great. Can't wait to return and see the hotel when it's finished. Well done to all the staff and work men who were very discrete when working.
