We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barony Castle Hotel. I was just disappointed that we could not get the two nights when we booked. We shall certainly come back again in the future.Thanks again for a lovely stay.

Hotel was lovely and staff were helpful. Had to change room as first room was off corridor being painted and smell was strong but switched quickly with no hassle. Pool area was clean but one shower was out of order. Dinner was fantastic with great service. Breakfast was standard some items dried up under heat lamps. Only other thing to mention is there was no bath in our room just a narrow shower, but that's personal preference and hubby wouldn't let me ask to change room again. Went for birthday and anniversary celebration.

We have just returned from a 2 night weekend stay at Barony Castle. It was fantastic! Check-in was efficient, the room was clean, warm and comfortable. The lounge was welcoming and relaxing where we enjoyed our complimentary Cream Tea, a nice touch. We used the leisure facilities, all well maintained and enjoyed walks in the Hotel grounds. We had our dog with us and the Hotel is very dog friendly allowing him into the Conservatory and games room. Our biggest praise goes to the excellent food we enjoyed in the Blue Dug restaurant and how efficient yet not intrusive the service was. The choices on the menu had something for everyone and the food was DELICIOUS for both dinner and breakfast. Special thank you to all the staff for being natural with their service especially Jeanette and Taylor. Good Scottish hospitality at its best. We cannot wait to return.

Hotel very clean, tidy and fresh. Only downside was the fact that the menu never changed and when asked if we could choose a cheaper meal from the bar menu we were told it was not possible but according to the information book in the bedroom you could talk to the chef about choice of meal. Everything else perfect.

we always enjoy our stays at barony castle great service in dinning room (especially felix the waiter) and great food also a very nice breakfast all reception staff very friendly and efficient my only complaint on this occasion would be my room no 219 had obviously had a dog staying I found dog hairs on the carpet and bedspread unfortunately I am allergic to dog hair and as a result I suffered from sneezing and breathing problems due to this allergy next time I will ask specifically for a pet free room to save any further problems apart from that our stays are always first class an look forward to returning soon nice local walks and surroundings good pool good treatment facilities and nice quiet seating areas to read or just relax good parking area I highly recommend this hotel

Great value. Food very nice. Bar and restaurant area look recently refurbished and very nice with lovely conservatory area too. Staff very helpful. Comfy beds too. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would go back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Barony Castle. We had a upgraded bedroom and it was good to have slippers, a robe and a lovely big corner bath with lots of hot water. The dinning room staff were excellent they could not have been more helpful or attentive. Food was also very good. Little canap

From check-in to check-out our stay here was fab! Friendly receptionists, bar staff and restaurant staff, no one could have been more helpful, well done all. Look forward to another stay in the future.

Some squeaky floorboards. Nice touch from Hotel who placed a birthday card in our room for my wife's 60th birthday although disappointed that no other gesture was made by the hotel - e.g. A glass of wine , a coffee etc. Equally soft drinks fridge contents in 'Superior room' only there for your duration not restocked daily - a pity. Overall though a great weekend with great staff with very good food.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Barony Castle. The staff were very friendly, food was excellent and the surroundings were very pleasant. The two days we spent were also excellent value for money.

Altogether a lovely stay in a beautiful hotel. Peaceful and picturesque. The building is around three hundred years old and I think this accounted for my only disappointment - the smallness of the room. It was however well appointed, well kept and comfortable - no more required really. Wanted a quiet retreat and got it - the walks in the grounds were lovely - up hill and down dale enough to suit me and work up an appetite for dinner.

We obtained a very good price for our stay at this hotel. It is very impressive on the drive up however, not so inside. The lift did not work and has been out of action for some time. The route to get to our room was incredible but it is an old building so to be expected also we did not manage to get a refurbished room so it was a bit early 90's decor but clean and comfortable. The bar staff need to ensure the tables are cleaned more often as we sat for some time surrounded by dirty tables. The dining roomwas nice but please clean the tables as they had a sticky feeling so get new cleaning products. the food was fine and breakfast had plenty on offer and it was all hot.

Lovely setting in a beautiful estate, the hotel is well appointed and fantastic value for money. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The only slight negative was that whilst the bedroom was very nice it was not very big. This was our first visit but certainly won't be our last. Excellent.
