This deal was purchased for our daughter and her husband as an anniversary gift, they loved everything about the night. They said the staff were friendly and professional, their meal in the evening was well presented and very tasty and the room was comfortable and spotless. They thoroughly enjoyed breakfast which was unhurried and had all you would wish for as choice. Overall a great gift and great price.

Lovely hotel all staff very attentive,friendly and welcoming. We had the three course £20 menu which was very nice and had good choices. Feel the bathroom needed updated. Cleanliness was good. Think they are updating rooms a bit at a time. Would have no hesitation returning.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay in this stunning hotel . Food and staff were amazing . Breakfast was a buffet type and had a lovely selection .Evening meal was absolutely fantastic. Bar prices very reasonable as was the service . We sat outside on the decking as weather was beautiful . Could not fault room or service in any way would definitely recommend. We will be back soon .

Hotel was lovely, good choice of food in the restaurant which was also lovely, staf very nice too, bar prices quite expensive almost £8.50 for a pint of carling and a soda water and lime.

Stayed here on a DBB break with wine, which was in the room on arrival. We decided to have the wine with our meal but were told in no uncertain terms by a very rude member of the waiting staff that we could not bring our bottle into the restaurant and we could only drink it in our room. This has never been a problem at other hotels we have stayed at and nowhere at the hotel or on the myhotelbreak.com website does it state that the wine must be consumed in the room. After this little episode we had to wait for 5 minutes before being seated in the restaurant after being ignored by several members of staff who walked past us. After our order had finally been taken by a bored looking waitress who obviously wished she was somewhere else we had a further 30 minute wait for our main courses, which were tasty but luke warm. The desserts arrived more quickly but were tasteless. Breakfast the next morning fared little better, with the buffet items being barely warm, with the notable exception of the haggis which was stone cold. On checking out, we mentioned the issues we had had to the receptionist who appeared totally disinterested and could only manage a half hearted apology when pressed. Appalling customer care. I must state that we have stayed at this particular hotel before without issues but this visit was well below expectations and we will not be returning.

We had a lovely time at the hotel. We found the bar prices very reasonable for a hotel bar, great selection too, bar staff amazing, dinner menu had a lot of choice apart from only one vegetarian option. The food itself was good and the staff amazing in the restaurant, reception and bar. Standard rooms comfortable could do with make over. The main parts of the hotel Beautiful.

Far far far bet my expectations, from the guy on reception as we arrived to the whole staff welcoming, clinically clean, spacious hotel/ rooms/ restaurant/bar. 12oclock check out!!!! Absolutely chilled ambiance, well done!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Riverside lodge. Only reason I didn't give 10/10 for room is pillows and bed was a little too hard for our liking and service a little slow when busy but understandable Hotel is gorgeous and very clean, staf very helpful polite and caring. Would definitely recommend it. Infant this hotel is on our top 3 shortlist for hosting our wedding.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Food lovely and really nice to sit and relax in the lounge area and enjoy a frw drinks. Room was clean although slightly dated in comparison to other parts of the hotel, was comfortable, fresh towels etc.

I had received a voucher for our wedding so decided to book The Riverside Lodge hotel. I had only heard nice reviews from friends and can say it did not disappoint. The room we stayed in was lovely and bed was comfy. The hotel was beautiful inside. The food was amazing too. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Riverside Lodge on Sunday night with bed and breakfast, evening meal and a bottle of wine in the room. We think it's really good value and a really good hotel and food was lovely.

An excellent night stay it has been 7 years since we last stayed and what a transformation of the bar and restaurant area. Our evening meal was outstanding and lovely and hot. The buffet breakfast was again very hot and regularly replenished I'm not a fan of buffet breakfast but this was executed to perfection. Nice to get the included bottle of wine but maybe give people the option to pay more to upgrade I.e I drink white zinfandel rose but only could have pino grio. Rooms are lovely but could do with a little TLC . We will be back excellent value for money.

We had a great overnight at The Riverside Lodge and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Dinner was excellent but thought breakfast was just ok scrambled eggs a bit underdone for my taste and not a fan of fried eggs had to wait too long for the bacon to come out and was very fatty. Breakfast aside I would return.

Room of a good size and decor, the patio had no table to use where others did, a lot of excess building materials stores in direct view which could have been moved or screened.
