Hotel is quite old, but they are trying to update all the rooms. The lounge and dining room were lovely and the staff and the meals were excellent. Very kind, very nice staff. Pool and sauna very nice. Very nice hotel, but if staying there again would ask for a bedroom upgrade.

Had a lovely couple of days at the Hotel. Staff very friendly, meals were excellent. Rooms let down by the draughty single glazed windows.

Enjoyed the stay. Room was fine although paying extra for a 'scenic room' probably not worth the extra to see the car park. Hotel in need of a makeover as it's looking a bit tired. Food was good, laisure facilities impressive but the big plus factor is the staff - every single one of them were so nice and helpful and happy to engage.

Very good value for the price. Room rather tired - main complaint being lack of a switch for the bedside light. It had to be switched off at the entry door or else pull the plug out ! Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very acceptable.

Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Food is excellent. Bedroom could do with refurbishment and bin had not been emptied for our arrival.

We arrived on Monday afternoon , we were given a twin room , which I didn’t book ! Spoke to the receptionist who was very helpful and gave us a double room . The staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The meals were lovely . Will definitely return .?

Traditional Scottish hotel which has been taken over by a national group. Large lounge which provides entertainment Leisure suite and pool. All good Room spacious and comfortable Excellent beds. Very good breakfast We had dinner one night limited menu as appears the norm nowadays but food was fresh and reasonably priced. This was a pleasant break in a reasonable hotel which was very good value for money. It’s biggest selling point was the positive attitude o members of staff. They were all very busy and appear to be multi tasking but irrespective of the role: reception, front of house , waiting in restaurant, bar work and housekeeping nothing was a problem and they all seemed very genuine In their efforts to assist guests

The hotel was looking tired and in need of upgrading. Our room was small and lacking in amenities. The beds where uncomfortable and we had a pipe run between our single beds (we had booked for a double bed). The shower had a very low water pressure and the cable was broke which kept reducing the water pressure even more. The hotel flooring was uneven and we felt it was a tripping hazard. Even though it was a Hydro hotel, there was not any treatments available. There was a small pool, but this was restricted due to swimming lessons while we where there. We asked to change our room and where offered one on the same floor. This was a lovely room with a double bed and a bath. Only issue was the toilet was situated next to the window which was not opaque and no curtains or blinds. Also no lock on the door. The staff where great and very friendly, especially the receptionist Ellie. Overall we had a good break but would not return to this hotel.

Enjoyed our 2 day stay at Pitlochry hydro. Staff nece and helpful. Food was good. Swimming pool and jacuzzi perfect for relaxing after climbing Ben y vrakie.

From reading some reviews of the hotel elsewhere i was wary of breakfast, however i found that there were no issues . In fact i had breakfast at 09:30 and found the heated food hot and still being refilled, a lot of comments said unless your down early your breakfast would be warm. Service from reception to bar staff to restaurant staff was good and friendly. Checkin was a breeze and efficent. The double room clean and tidy no issues. The shower was great wish I had something like the power it gave off at home. Certainly would stay again.

Lovely hotel set in scenic surroundings. Hotel dining area, reception & bar is beautifully decorated however rooms a little disappointing, need updating. I booked a room with a view however room layout wasn’t the best. SHOWER WAS NOT A actual shower was linked to mixer taps so was awful. This is also a dog friendly hotel. Restraunt wasn’t great ordered steak pie thinking homemade but WAS NOT, ran out items in breakfast buffet they seem to make minimal. Staff were all friendly & hotel had evtertainment & hotel was very cosy. Just layout of room & shower let it down.

Very pleasantly surprised think we were in a refurbished room food lovely & presented very well , great breakfasts lovely staff Bar suppers very good value for money drink prices cheaper than the town pubs we had fish& chips on Sunday night mmm only comment I would make dogs are allowed but they should be kept out of lounge as hairs everywhere , maybe put them at the two lounges to left of entrance also toilets need to be inspected more often as women’s & mens were terrible (blocked, paper on floor, toilet dispensers stuck or empty ) Pity

Beds very comfortable,room we were in was quite cold and had an extra oil heater which clicked a lot .gap under door so let light in which disturbed sleep a bit .had high windows so no view .breakfast was passable but had better .

Meal and breakfast were both lovely Room - booked a superior double but there wasn't really any difference between the too. Only complaint is the heating in the lounge was far too warm had to leave entertainment early as couldn't sit in it any longer

Enjoyed our stay here. Large public lounge area with smaller lounge rooms off. Good value for money during off peak season. Reasonable drinks prices. Only downside was lack of choice for a vegetarian in our group. Menu and a' la Carte menu had same dish ( mushroom risotto? )

Had a brilliant stay here for my birthday. Food was great, staff were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it. Only thing missing was a steam room but apart from that it was great.

Spacious public areas. Relaxing atmosphere. Reasonable bar and restaurant prices. Plenty parking. Short walk into town centre or train station or main country bus stop for reasonably fit person.
