Room overlooked a building site. Hotel are in process of installing double glazing in room and are still to complete exercise. Hotel was busy and not many rooms may have been available at the time.

Quick checkin with reception support to change room to one with a seaview. Poor hotel bar and social space and not all areas available as described on website. Very tired decor throughout hotel with reception/bar toilet area observed as unclean. Bedlinen and towels very clean but bedroom and bathroom very basic and in some area not clean at all. Dinner very poor quality, very rushed service at dinner which put us off attending for breakfast and another dinner over three day break. Left hotel day early as felt everything very tired and run down.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Regent Hotel in Oban, we had a superb sea view from our room - it was amazing - the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was lovely.

This hotel needs some of the corridors painted.our bedroom room was spotless,the bathroom needed painted round the shower but again spotless,the TV was on the dressing table we had to sit on the edge of the bed to watch it ,the hairdryer was positioned over the tea tray (hairs in the cups) could of done with bedside lamps as we only had the large ceiling light.The food was excellent complements to The chef,waiting staf very friendly

Pleasant 3 nights alrhough it was a surprise when I was charged extra for scrambled egg and smoked salmon for breakfast which was all I had. Now I could have had fruit juice , cereal , fruit and a large cooked breakfast and this would not have had an extra charge !!!

We really enjoy our stay at this hotel and as a result return annually to the regent, the food is lovely and not had a bad meal in all of our stays, the rooms are fine but what really makes the hotel is the staff, always pleasant and very accommodating.

I really dont understand why this hotel is rated as two star, in my opinion it should qualify as a three star.We really enjoyed our stay.The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms well cleaned and stocked,the food first class.

The only negative from this visit was the parking. Arriving mid afternoon means you have to pay for parking but it is right opposite the hotel. Even disable parking is only for three hours. On the plus side it is free after 18:00 hours until 09:00. Everything else about this hotel was spot on. Food was very good and quick service and although it is an old building it had everything you could want. I wouldn't fail to recommend the Regent Hotel to anyone. Plus the location is right at the harbour front.

Good central hotel. Hotel does not provide a discount/deal for Car park across the road. Dated hotel decor wise but staff and facilities clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel in great location. Good food and friendly service. The Bedroom and Bathroom were in poor decorative order and the cleaning standard was mediocre.
