Allocated lovely big room. Chocolates supplied. Went down to health suite to find sauna and steam room closed. We were not informed of this prior to booking by my hotelbreak or by hotel reception on checking in. Big disappointment as this was the reason we chose this hotel. The restaurant menu is too fancy and we struggled to find something to eat. All staff were lovely. Breakfast fine if you like tepid food. Would have preferred fresh cooked especially eggs and bacon. I would have given feedback to hotel reception on checking out however I was not asked how my stay was. Disappointing stay.

When we came early, we knew our rooms wouldn't be ready, but I went to the reception to let them know we were here . I asked if she would like my name, etc, as we had spa treatments. The reply I got was no. I said aww ok I thought you would want to know who is in the hotel , reply no . She was very off Standish and continued to talk to our colleges about who she fancied and who she didn't. Things like that should be discussed when she has not got a massive queue and in private. Breakfast bowls were not checked as I got through 10 bowls before I could get a clean one. Dinner took ages to come and just before we were getting served, I was told the chef couldn't do me a poached egg, I asked why, and the poor waiter didn't have a clue. If the chef had said this when I first ordered, as we had been waiting about 45 mins by this time, then it wouldn't have been a problem, but now my dinner was here and the waiter very kindly ordered me something else to go with my dinner but I had to wait for it which wouldn't have happened if I was told at the time the order went in. Dessert , no merginue in my Eton Mess. It is petty stuff I know, but this was for my daughters 16th, and I saved up to take her with 2 friends, which we got at an amazing price, but it was still a lot of money for me. Plus this was my mums favourite hotel and it was my first time there without her since she passed so it has alot of special memories for us as we have been going to this hotel since 2015 and I've never been disappointed ever until now.

Lovely clean hotel , welcoming receptionist, However we were not advised children are not permitted in the pool after 7pm so we had to wait until the next morning to take our son for a swim. No robes or slippers in room ( maybe only included if on a spa package ?). The food in the restaurant wasn't great, poor quality steaks and undressed lettuce /salad. However the restaurant manager was quick to apologise and offer our fee on the bill to be deducted . Perhaps the grill would of been more suited to us , although it wasn't open. Breakfast was very good . Would stay again.

I would like to compliment all the staff as they were very supportive and provided a very high standard of Customer Care. In particular I found Patrick from the Golf area very kind and supportive as he helped us with our luggage from our room to our car. My husband has very low mobility and is partially sighted and registered blind really appreciated his help. Also I had two excellent treatments from the lovely Danielle in the Spa very helpful and this was very much appreciated. We will be back after a very relaxing break and would highly recommend to others.

Was ok overall but wouldn’t rush back. Had booked a late DBB deal for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room we were given wasn’t ideal - it had a king bed and one single bed which the 2 kids had to share. They are only 3 years old so we made it work but if they had been bigger I’m not sure where we were all supposed to sleep. It was also roasting hot in the room when we arrived so we had to leave the window open all the time just to get it back to a reasonable temperature. The hotel is wide so it was a fair trek to get from our room along to the swimming pool and you have to walk through part of the bar area to actually get there. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular but good enough. However we ordered kids soups because it specifically said it was Heinz tomato which I knew they would eat but what arrived definitely wasn’t Heinz soup. Also the chicken nuggets / goujons were pretty tasteless, not sure if just been sitting for a while and gone all dried out. Service in the restaurant was really good. Drinks are expensive at £6 a pint but I expected that. There’s also no bottled water in the room, would have expected at least a couple bottles in this sort of hotel. There is a fridge though so you can take your own. Overall, the pool was good for the kids and there were plenty other families around so didn’t feel the kids were an issue. But for the money I think we’d try somewhere else next time. Oh and if you advertise an Easter rate with an Easter egg supposedly included in the room then it would have been nice to make sure it’s there.

Lovely hotel, staf very nice, and well trained. Dinner was delicious! Breakfast was not great, not very hot , and had to send back fried eggs, not cooked on top. However, enjoyed stay and would recommend and come back again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Westerwood Hotel, it was a very relaxing break. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Our evening meal was very nice, plenty to choose from. The dining room looks over the golf course and the views were tremendous. We would definitely go back.

When my friend and I arrived at 230pm, our room was ready which was a bonus. The lady at reception was so lovely and friendly. It’s a lovely touch getting a choc cookie when checking in. They have a fire near the reception which was lovely sitting next to it with a drink. Our room was lovely, we got a twin room. The bed is extremely comfy! We had the dinner, bed and breakfast deal. The service was quick and everyone was so friendly. The food was delicious, it was busy that we couldn’t get our table booked in until 745pm. That give us time to use the leisure facilities. The steam room wasn’t working but the sauna, pool, jacuzzi was and it was great. I did use the heated beds which was fab but definitely think they need new ones as the mosaics keep falling off. Hope they fix them before they get worse. They still worked thou. The changing room and showers is 3 stars rather than a 4 stars Hilton hotel which it’s meant to be. Hope they refurbish that soon. The relaxation room was fantastic, wee added bonus is that they have blankets on the beds now which is a nice touch. We were able to get robes on the fri but on Saturday when we used the leisure facilities again we weren’t allowed robes as it was only for people that were having treatments. Slightly disappointed. The breakfast in the morning was nice, buffet breakfast with loads to choose from, fruit, pastries, yogurts, make ur own pancakes and cooked breakfast. Down side of the cooked breakfast there was no haggis, black pudding or potato scones but I did have bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms and browns. It’s a great hotel but I would say it’s more 3 star than 4 but the offer we got was a great price. It’s value for money

Hotel lovely but very dated and in need of refurbishment. No in spa area therefore you could not shower. Water temperature in both shower and bath in the room was hand hot - not good especially since you could not shower after swimming. Reported to staff who said there was no maintenance on that evening but we didn’t need to move room but if we wanted we could use another room for a shower/bathroom!! We really should have insisted on moving room.
