From check in to checkout, everything was great . Loved the room, spacious and clean. Dinner was fabulous, staff attentive. Breakfast superb, continental plus cooked. Again staff brilliant. The whole experience was excellent, only small thing, we love to sit outside with a drink , but no seating.

Beautiful hotel with for spectacular views over to Arran. We were allocated an apartment that was in the annexe which was fabulous. Had a lovely two course meal in the Orangery and later a tail in the bar also enjoyed a swim and sauna in the spa.Staff lovely and helpful would recommend a stay here.

Sadly unimpressed. Food at dinner served cold, wrong wine served, fillet steak tougher than would be expected for 21 day Scottish matured fillet and Cajun chicken tough. Reception staff not particularly welcoming. Pool and jacuzzi water chilly. So, no return visit in the future planned.

Lovely hotel and staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. Food a little disappointing as steak pie very salty and 2 of our party did not eat it. Work going on, but did not impact our stay. Overall a good overnight stay

An excellent deal, hotel was lovely, food including breakfast excellent with a great choice. Our room was lovely and clean maybe due modernisation but still a great room. Staff were efficient and organised. Spa was a bit busy but still great, for £155 the facilities and service were fab.

Setting is stunning, staff very friendly and food was delicious. Room was large, but very tired looking with stained carpets and marks on the wall. Bathroom was lovely and spacious with separate bath and shower. Unfortunately, our dinner reservation had already been selected without our knowledge. When we queried this we were only given the option of 5.30pm or 7.30pm. Also, when we did arrive for dinner it was quite apparent that anyone on a “deal” were ushered to a different part of the restaurant and not seated in the main area. This cheapened the experience and made us feel we were there on a special offer only.

Hotel reply...

Hi Julie, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I have passed on your comments to the relevant departments. some of our rooms have been recently renovated with the remining rooms scheduled to be done in the near future. Due to the amount of people wishing to use the restaurant we book every new reservation in to ensure they do get a reservation and so that we can staff the restaurant accordingly. An email is sent once this reservation is made to notify guests and then they can call to change if not suitable. Kind Regards Reception.

At this time of year it was like walking into a winter wonder land. Beautiful Christmas trees aligned reception area, all trees were different and stunning. Our room (48) was top drawer, tasteful, warm and cosy. Views out to sea and Arran were awesome. Our evening meal was delicious and full Scottish breakfast was yummy, all staff were very helpful, considerate and mindful. Thank you Seamill and My hotel break.com

Booked through my hotel breaks and paid £99 for a double room in the courtyard with breakfast included, it was a birthday getaway with my best friend and when hotel found this out they upgraded us to a sea view which was greatly appreciated. The view was out of this world. Just what we needed to get away. The reception staff were warm friendly and chatty. The room was warm cosey and spacious. There was a walk in shower and also a bath, shampoo, shower gel, hand soap etc was lovely, comfy 2 seater couch next to the window, tv, double bed, tea and coffee available and a fridge which was defect for our Prosecco. We had some food in the Aura Bar, which was walk in didn't need to book it which suited us, my friend and i ordered a tail each, me a French martini which one of the best l've ever had. We ordered food, me a highland burger and my friend fish and chips, great quick service and the waiter We had some food in the Aura Bar, which was walk in didn't need to book it which suited us, my friend and i ordered a tail each, me a French martini which one of the best l've ever had. We ordered food, me a highland burger and my friend fish and chips, great quick service and the waiter could not do enough for us, lovely and great service. The food was delicious, not one bad thing we had to say. Drinks and food absolutely amazing then dessert mines was shortbread and ice cream and as it was my birthday they wrote happy birthday on the plate which i thought was a nice touch. My friend had ordered chocolate brownie which she assumed would be a small piece with ice cream but it was huge, she said it was amazing and looked great. Food presentation was perfect for main and for dessert. For once my life there is nothing negative to say. I personally love 1 hr 20 mins away but l'm already looking at returning with my husband as the service was that good. Lastly the spa, there's a big pool, sauna steam room. The only things did hope had been different was the jacuzzi part of the pool, wish it had been warmer. Also would be nice to have robes and slippers in your room so that you could walk to spa and back to your room. Overall though i cannot wait to return, it was beautiful even outside with all the Christmas lights lot and throughout the hotel all the festive touches. Thank you for an AMAZING Stay.

We had a one night stay at this hotel to utilise a MHB gift voucher we had got at Christmas. The voucher for bed and breakfast, covwred just under half the cost of the stay in a Courtyard Room. The room was like a mini suite with separate seating area, it was clean and well maintained. We booked the Orangery restaurant for dinner. When we arrived at the Orangery, there appeared to have already been a table booked in out name. The host asked if we were on dinner, bed and breakfast? The answer was no. Maybe there were other guests with the same surname who were. We were shown to 'the better table' which had a view of the moody Firth of Clyde. Drinks orders were taken and we were left to peruse the menu. We soon decided what we wanted and the order was taken. The food was delicious, attractively presented and piping hot where appropriate. There did not seem to be any system as to who served what tables, with wait staff covering several areas. Maybe it was break time. Our mains were cleared away and we were asked if we would like to see the dessert menu - yes. After about a ten minute wait, we had to ask again (a different server) to see the menu. We ordered dessert which, after a reasonable wait, arrived....minus a spoon. The server went to fetch them....several minutes later (by which time the ice cream was starting to melt), she returned saying she had had to go to the kitchen to fetch them! Never mind, the black forest sundae was very nice. We asked for the bill and, when it arrived, we had been charged for two afternoon teas (around £40) which we had not had. My husband went to the bar and sorted it out. If you like a very firm mattress and pillows, you will not be disappointed with the offering at Seamill Hydro. It was, however, a tad too firm for our liking and we didn't sleep well. We used the swimming pool before breakfast. Towels and locker keys are provided, no need for £1 coins for the lockers. The pool area and changing rooms were clean and tidy. There is a spinner for your swimsuit and bags to put the damp swimsuits into. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are supplied in the shower cubicles. There are a couple of hairdryers for guest use. Breakfast is served in the Aura bar. There are hot and cold options, the continental breakfast served buffet style...cereals, fruit juices, fresh fruit, yogurts, meats, cheeses, breads etc. Porridge is available to order. Tea and coffee are self service. A server takes your order for cooked breakfasts. The hot selection arrived on piping hot plates and were delicious. When we went to check out, we queried the bill (again, but for a different reason). The room had been charged at the full B&B rate (£209), our MHB voucher had not been deducted despite being redeemed at the point of booking. The receptionist didn't know how to rectify the error and we were several minutes (during which time my husband returned to the car to retrieve the paper copies of our booking and voucher) before a supervisor appeared to show the receptionist how to rectify the error. I found it hard to believe that, not once but twice, there were errors on our bills during our short stay. This is disconcerting. We had registered a credit card against the room so any charges could be added, if we so decided but we preferred to pay cash for our meal and drinks. What if we hadn't been as vigilant in the Orangery or at reception? What is there was a 'drop and got checkout system? It wouldn't have been as simple to rectify the problems. Did we enjoy our stay? Yes we did. The food was excellent. Would we return? Possibly, but not at a rate of £209 for a one night stay (which, including dinner and a drink each, brought the total to around £300). We mat explore other booking portals to find a better rate if we go back

Public areas are beautifully decorated and function suite looks amazing with views over the beach and sea. Dinner and breakfast were lovely and service very good. We stayed in the annex of hotel which is in need of refurbishment, room large and clean but floorboards creaked continually and curtains didn’t fit window.

Stayed in room 105 and was very dissatisfied with my stay. Giving we paid nearly £200 for one night, the room lacked cleanliness and health and safety with the iron last pat tested over 4 years ago. Staff on check in did not explain basic information we had to prompt for answers. Other staff very blunt and lacked customer care. Went for dinner in the restaurant and ended up with my dinner almost on my lap with no real apology and we were ignored the rest of the night. Food was lovely but service atrocious for a 4 star. This is a shame for such a beautiful location and venue. Basic cleanliness was out the window with hair balls, layers of dust, along with ripped carpet and fallen down curtain rails

Hotel is lovely when you enter at the front door but there were a few issues on our stay - short staffed / lot of waiting time at the bar / breakfast was bit hectic as well for this luxury 4 STAR hotel breakfast should be served in the Orangery - lounge bar too small. we stayed in a Courtyard room and although it looked nice enough as soon as you opened the door EVERY floor board creaked and I don't mean just lightly it was soo noisy definitely needs sorted asap also the room doors creak so bit WD40 would help just for your neighbors in the other rooms . ... the reception area was always busy with people complaining. this was a Sunday night..
