Having been to the hotel a couple of years ago we were a bit disappointed with the room we had a very small double looking out to a flat roof which housed pigeons and seagulls, the room itself needed a lot of tlc broken floor tile and light above mirror in bathroom furniture chipped in various places quilt cover threadbare in a couple of places. The food was good and COVID restrictions adhered to. Would maybe go back if the hotel had an upgrade.

Good wee stopover, comfortable room, breakfast hot and plentiful, dinner in McNabs attached to hotel as part of the deal served dinner on freezing cold plates!!!! Very cold place to eat. Would definitely return but go elsewhere for dinner

My Husband Arthur and I stayed in the Columba Hotel in Inverness for 2 nights and we will definitely go back. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend this Hotel.

Had a good break at Columba hotel inverness. On riverbank across from castle. Dont expect modern hotel. Hotel is old building so can be dark. First room view was facing a wall. However was offered a better room the next day. Its a pity there are no twin rooms with river views. Staff were responsive to requests. Food was good. Would recommend a visit.

Enjoyable stay. Staff very friendly and helpful even during the trying times we all find ourselves in. All areas geared up for social distancing and plenty of hand sanitising stations strategically placed. Would certainly recommend the hotel for a highland break.

We stayed here just over a week ago for a 2 night stay and had a great time! The hotel gave us a complimentary upgrade to one of the suites which was gorgeous, with great views over the river and to the Inverness castle. Room was extremely spacious and very clean. The hotel even left a birthday card in the room for my girlfriends birthday - great touch. Food was lovely. We can’t thank the young woman on reception enough, she was so welcoming and made our stay even more comfortable. She is a credit to the hotel. Thanks so much Columba team! :)

Hotel was in good location room was nice and big, food was nice but was same menu throughout so we only ate one night and service was very slow, staff were friendly though and we were pleased with break overall.

Under the current cirstances the Hotel and all the staff coped very well. We had a very nice 3 night stay. Room was clean but at the rear of hotel so no view but we didnt stay much in room. Bottle of wine on arrival was very nice. One night we had dinner which was ok but roast potatoes were like bricks the rest of the meal was fine. Staff are excellent nothing was to much bother and engaged with us everyday. The bar nxt door is part of the hotel is ideal for a few drinks before bed and the Irish guy behind the bar was very pleasant to talk to when he had the time as he was rushed off his feet at times. Price wise drinks were reasonably priced. Despite the roast potatoes we would certainly return.

What a fantastic deal, food was excellent, our room was ideal accessible for my disabled friend walk in shower. I must say Darcy the barman was excellent after great encouragement for him he did just before bar closed at 10pm. All staff we met were fantastic and can’t thank them enough. We felt very safe in the current cirstances.

I understand things are difficult at this time and I don,t normally complain,but I must say this is probably the worst of the many hotels we have booked with yourselves.The food for dinner was of a poor standard, the bar area was very cold and not very appealing.The breakfast was good and very well organised, but all in all the hotel was not up to your usual standard

We were staying in the Columba Hotel Inverness. The location of the hotel was really good unfortunately our room was situated above the front door and there was a lot a lot of noise due to the banging of the door into the early hours. We were there for 4 nights so didn't get much sleep. We were to have 2 meals included in our price but only had one as the service and food itself wasn't very good. I also had to send my meal back as it was cold. We opted to go out for a meal on the second night. The room internally was good with a beautiful bathroom. The staff themselves were also very nice. I know that you had sent an email to say that this hotel was now a 3 star instead of a 4 star. To be quite honest with you I don't think that it should have ever been a 4 star.

Very tired hotel ! Room was clean but so drab and small. Looked like new bathroom but shower was a trickle. Booked dinner for first night for 8pm. Forgot to bring our drinks, then brought Our main course before we had our starters. Manageress in restaurant apologised and also didn’t charge for drinks. Breakfast both mornings was cold and toast was hot bread . Staff were friendly but not the best of weekends. Sorry but won’t be back soon .

good that we didn't have to wait until 3pm to check in. Our room was ok at first glance, but when i used the toilet it was filthy and not cleaned, I then pulled out the bedside small cabinet to plug in my charger and there must have been a years dust there. We had the deal that included dinner but it was terrible and the dining room was busy at one end and empty at the other. Very dissapointed with the cleanliness

Darted appearance badly needs modernisation Bar area is not in the least inviting to spend an evening The outside seating area of the bar was never swept or tidied up during our stay and was grubby looking tables were never wiped when we sat down
