We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was very acceptable and our room was spotless with a lovely view . I would not hesitate to recommend the Argyll hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely Hotel. The central location of the Hotel was spot on. The staff were all very nice, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space and storage. Food was amazing . Would definitely go back to this Hotel.

Booked 2 night dbnb package and upgraded to Seaview room. Quite a unwelcoming entrance and reception area. Checked In easily by friendly and efficient staff member. Room had a partial Seaview through filthy windows with the view to the right completely blocked by a neighbouring property. Room condition initially looked cleanish, just very bland and aged. Beds were horrendous, very uncomfortable and noisy with 1 bed bowed in the middle. Carpet was filthy as was bathroom and whole room was on a pretty bad slope, to the point where it felt very strange to walk about. Went to dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the menu choice and decent food quality. Staff were very good. Had a terrible nights sleep, very noisy corridors and lift noise as well as the horrendous beds. Breakfast was OK then decided to check out a day early as didn't want to spend another night there. Receptionist offered us a different room but we were not optimistic of it being any different judging by the outside appearance of the rooms, plus the whole room experience left us feeling deflated (and grubby as didn't want to go near the shower)

Had a lovely stay at the Argyll Hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely, really friendly and hard working. Room was clean and tidy. It's a bit dated but looks as though they are working on it. Ate in the bar the first night and in the Italian restaurant the 2nd night. Food was really good. Breakfast also great plenty choice and staff attentive. Thank you so much

Lovely break at this hotel. All staff friendly and helpful. Hotel in need of a refurb especially the uneven floors on first floor but clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Great value for money will definitely be back.

Enjoyable Murder Mystery weekend. Not the best start though with one room still not available two hours after check in time but it all came good in the end and was handled very well. Dinner was really good on both evenings but breakfast on Sunday was disappointing as most items were barely warm compared to the standard on Saturday. Suggest placing earplugs or secondary glazing in rooms which overlook the street as the late night reverly from nearby premises is very loud and impacted our sleep on both nights. On both evenings the Murder Mystery presentation and the entertainment which followed were enjoyable.

Stayed for 2 nights for Murder Mystery. We had a great time, met lovely people, staff were very helpful. Hotel was really busy and seemed short staffed, but can’t fault them. Honestly had a great time and will be back. Hotel is nice but the bedrooms could be doing with a little makeover, but spotlessly clean no complaints at all. Have everything you need and beds were comfortable.

Lovely hotel right on the front, food good, staff lovely, smashing view from our bedroom, bar and dining room, bottles of water in room was a nice touch, bottle of wine on arrival with this deal it was a Christmas gift, we stayed another night we were that chilled out.

Went for a murder mystery weekend which was fabulous. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner on friday evening was okay , meat in steak and ale pie was rather dry, starter and dessert was lovely Dinner om saturday evening was faultless Entertainment was brilliant and was loads of audience participation i will certainly be returning

We had such a good weekend. Allo, Allo murder mystery was so entertaining and fun. Food was good too. Well presented and cooked. Late entertainment both nights. Staff were attentive and helpful. Plus we were lucky enough to get an upgraded room with beautiful views. An absolute bargain!

What a great weekend, could not fault it at all. Murder mystery was excellent, really enjoyed it, and we had the sun out for our clue t round the town.
