Had an excellent overnight with my Mum and Neice. It was a 90th birthday celebration for my Mum. We had a wonderful time from start to finish Would definately go back.

We had a great 2 night stay recently. On the 1st evening tho' the food service was slow 25 mins between starter and Main course. Fortunately all went much smoother on 2nd evening and service was much better and we were kept up to date if there was a delay in the kitchen. It was lovely and relaxing with good weather and the hotel is always welcoming and comfy.

The toilet seat came apart in the bEdroom toilet, I did report this to reception but no one fixed it. There were Hairs in the bath & shower it would have been nice to have had a fridge in the room. Have always had a restful sleep at the hotel on previous stays but the Oyster Catcher birds were noisy throughout the night & the lawnmower woke us at 7.30am!!

As my husband is recovering from heart problems booked hotel this is 4th visit we were on 4th floor lift not working so it was a struggle booked meal for 8.30 still waiting for soup at 9.15 we will still come back to hotel as love food and pool

Disappointed that the 'Spikes Bar' - the only simple way of getting a drink on the patio - closed at 5pm and this on 1July. Otherwise - great break with excellent staff.

Lovely hotel and enjoyable stay.the lift was unfortunately out of order for the duration of our stay which was very inconvenient being on the 4th floor with a pram! Tiles on bathroom floor were loose and shower Head wouldn't reposition so floor kept getting wet. Restaurant staff and food was excellent. Overall I would say hotel is more 3 and half stars rather than 4.

Overall stay was good. Service in dining room was poor. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and this i must say was the worst. Plus the lift was broken and we where on the top floor.

The only criticism of the hotel was the 45 minute wait for our first course at dinner even though we booked a time to arrive.We booked dinner for 8.15 pm and finished it at 10.15 pm due to the slow service.

Very enjoyable stay of two nights with dinner bed and breakfast. The quality of food served was excellent. The spacious comfortable double bedroom was on the opposite side of the hotel from the golf course with a view overlooking the hills. We had lovely swims in the large pool that had a steam room and sauna adjacent. We enjoyed a leisurely walk along the former railway line adjacent to the golf course and the River Tweed. The challenging golf course looked in immaculate condition and I wished that I had brought my golf clubs with me. This is a first class hotel with cleanliness second to none throughout. The staff have been trained to a high standard and all that we met were courteous and friendly. We look forward to a return stay in the not too distant future.
