Great Hotel. I would defo recommend it. Food was great & good selection of gluten-free dishes on offer. The staff are really helpful. I think you would be hard pressed to beat this for value

Prior to visiting the hotel we read some reviews which were not all positive. A few minutes after arrival we found out that these were not all justified. The receptionist and her courteous, pleasant and welcoming manner was very impressive and blew away any preset views of the hotel. During our stay we found all staff willing and happy to ensure we all had an enjoyable stay. All in all a great wee break in a great wee place to get you in the mood for summer. A big thanks you to all who helped make it a memorable and enjoyable visit.

Brilliant hotel. Staff so pleasant and friendly, without being intrusive. Great choice on the set menu. Food is excellent. We always upgrade to a garden room, well worth the wee bit extra. Breakfast is great with a brilliant selection. Cannot fault it in anyway.

I was here with two friends for a one night stay on 28March 23. We were allocated 2 twin rooms on the ground floor near reception, bar and dining room. Excellent location for us as one of our party had walking difficulties. Both rooms were immaculately clean and very spacious with everything we needed. All of our party had a great nights sleep in what looked like brand new beds. Our deal included breakfast and a two course dinner (we also received a bottle of wine in each room with proper wine glasses to enjoy it). The menu choices at dinner were excellent with great portion sizes. Breakfast was buffet style and included both Continental and cooked choices. All food during our visit was first class. Many thanks to all of the polite and helpful staff. They are a credit to this hotel. To sum up, this was a great value break and we could not fault anything. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Linda Mentes

Spent a lovely two nights here. Room was lovely and comfortable, food was first class had a beautiful meal both nights in hotel restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty . The staff were all helpful and very friendly, I would have no hesitation recommending a stay at this hotel especially if you get an amazing deal like we did.

This was our 5th visit to the Riverside Lodge with the Myhotelbreak deal, fantastic value for the cost and as always a nice friendly check in at reception.Rooms are well equipped although not quite fully refurbished however more than acceptable. The evening meal choice is better than the average hotels we have stayed in and the quality is excellent, compliments to the chef, the waiting staff are very efficient and friendly. Housekeeping staff also very efficient and friendly. Sadly I had one major issue with dogs barking in rooms near to ours, was wakened both mornings around 7.00am. We take these breaks from home in part to escape early morning barking so you can imagine our disappointment at this disturbance. Don't know if this is a new policy oowing pets in rooms or if we were put in a dog friendly area. Back for another stay in May so hoping no repeat of the last one. Overall a great hotel in a good location.

Had a lovely overnight. Great food and friendly staff. Room was nice and clean although the ceiling light was needing a good clean as it was full of dead flies. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms had been painted since our last visit. Good value for the deal we had DB&B and s bottle of wine in out room.

Bathroom needs updating. Sink taps loose and shower wouldn't work. Noticed later the fuse was missing from the shower switch so raised this with reception. Bed not the comfiest but OK for 1 night.

Hi I would just like to say that we both had a fantastic time in the Riverside hotel for my partner’s birthday, this was our fifth time at this great hotel we’ve been lucky with our room every time we go there it’s funny but we seam to get the same room, all the time it’s lovely and clean and comfortable, the staff are fantastic the food both dinner and breakfast are very good, but this time our breakfast was a bit spoiled by a dog barking all the time through our breakfast, the noise was ridiculous as the owner did nothing to stop the dog from barking, and then another two dogs appeared and they to starting barking and the owners thought it was funny saying they must be talking to each other, and again the hotel staff did not do anything about it after some people had complained about not getting any sleep because of these dogs, the night before during the night, so maybe it’s time they at the hotel change their policies on having dogs at the hotel, and say to the owners if you can’t control your dogs you’ll have to leave.

This is my 5th stay at Riverside it’s such a lovely hotel and great value for money. The staff are always very helpful and courteous. The only negative I have about my last stay was that the hotel was fully booked so it was very busy in bar/restaurant & they ran out of certain food & service was a bit slower. Overall I would totally recommend this hotel.

Struggled to book time for evening meal before arriving. Check in smooth and room great. Evening meal was lovely. Breakfast was a joke. No bacon left on a Saturday morning! Poured our tea and went to get our breakfast. Had to wait for potato scones, eggs and toast. When back to table all cups had been removed. No available cups then no tea. Was going to have orange juice but it was finished too. There seems to be plenty of staff but no direction

This is the fifth time we have stayed at the Riverside Lodge, and once again we could not fault anything about our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the food is wonderful. All in all, this is a fantastic deal.
