Excellent stay, food fantastic, spa facilities great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quite break in an idealistic spot with great food and facilities.

Comfortable and clean. Good sized room, with separate shower and bath in ensuite. Lift for was out of action which the duration of our stay which could be a problem for some, but staff did offer to help if needed. Recommend booking dinner early as we couldn't get a table until 8.45 pm.

DISAPOINTED BY A COUPLE OF THINGS LIFT NOT WORKING , ALTHOUGH ON FIRST FLOOR 2 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS FOR A 76YR OLD A BIT MUCH HOTEL HAD PROBLEMS IN THE KITCHEN , DINNER BOOKED FOR 7.30PM DID GET STARTER QUICKLY BUT WAITED TILL 9PM FOR MAIN COURSE

Only real complaint was staffing levels, had to wait so long for drinks while in for dinner that my husband left table and went to bar to get them. Breakfast took long time to be served too, meaning we were in dining room over an hour! Lift was 'under maintenance' but in 3 days we were there nobody worked on it.

Fantastic stay once again, reception staff, leisure staff excellent. Service at dinner could gave been better. Overall a very enjoyable stay which we will repeat soon.

My wife and i spent a single night here with her parents. It was a Classic Britain DBB deal. Although short, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel reception area lounge and restaurant were clean and modern and although busy, seemed adequately staffed. All staff met were pleasant and polite. Our room was very good, a decent size with a good bed and all the things you expect of a good hotel.(maybe just a couple of areas the duster missed). The toilet was fine and clean with a good big shower cabinet. The only thing missing, and it's a little bug bear of mine, was a toilet brush!! Please provide!! Our dinners were very good and so was the breakfast which had plenty of choice. Concerning the bar I tried two different lagers (Amstel and Heineken) and they were AWFUL. Totally flat within minutes of being poured. This was accepted and agreed with by bar staff. Beer prices were good for this standard of hotel, but wine was pricey both by glass and bottle. All in all though, a good night away, recommended and I think we will return. (but not for the lager)!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Cardrona Hotel. The SPA was fantastic! The service was slightly affected by the number of guests at breakfast on the 2nd morning however, certainly nothing that would put me off going again. The food at breakfast and dinner in Renwicks was average at best - e.g stale bread came with the soup. The best meal I had was in the bar on the first evening.

Very nice and friendly staff. Could'nt do enough for you. Only one complaint, as we booked through classic Britain they said they could not contact us for a time to dine. They said we only have 8.30 at the earliest and after 9pm for our evening meal. I asked if we could eat earlier as I have health issues about eating after 9pm. But I got no response and I was told we are very busy and im very sorry sir but that was all we had left. WASN'T IMPRESSED WITH THERE RESPONSE SORRY.

We had our second short break at Cardrona and everything was super. The staff are all so good and attentive and have smiling faces! Congratulations to their service trainer! And to them. We will be back, for sure! ??

Abba tribute night. The group were only on for an hour, although they were pretty good. Should have been on for longer. The meal served was bog standard and the bar service was very slow and staff were not trained and did not know the proper prices. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast the next morning was a bit of a shambles, because of the amount of guests from the previous Abba tribute night. They seemed to be over whelmed with the amount of guests. They ran out of plates and the buffet breakfast was not refreshed quickly enough to cope with the demand.

The room was lovely. Well maintained. Meal was fine as part of the deal, no choice., but nice if you like chicken. The entertainment nite was good & disco was super. Only grumble was when bar ran out of pineapple juice for my vodka, a member of staff instructed me to nip downstairs to the other bar if I wanted it, which I felt let the service down. However half hour later kristina behind the bar managed to grab a few. Thanx to her.

No smirrinof vodka available ,when staff at function were asked for a wine list we were told that the red wine on view was available they had some white wine and he thought they might have some rose ,some staff training required . I found the price of the drink available was extortionate

The only comment I would make is I have been to this hotel quite a few times and never had a golf view room I don't know how best room available works but we have always had same room other than that hotel lovely as is staff will be going back again .

Unfortunately, the service in the restaurant in the evening was not too good. Waited around 15 minutes for our order to be taken and drinks to arrive at table. The hotel could have been warmer.
