Had a great long weekend in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam room. Nice room though the carpet had probably seen better days. Comfortable bed and great bathroom though. Lots of staff to help out, so well worth visiting. Thanks guys!

Wouldn't rush back to this hotel. Foyer,bar and corridors very cold. Couldn't sit long in bar area as it was too cold. No atmosphere in bar area and very small. Rooms a bit dated and when we checked in first available time for dinner was 9pm :(.

All the staff were very courteous and friendly. Reception and spa staff very good especially therapist Emma. As was Olivia in the restaurant and the red haired bar man. However service was unbelievably slow at dinner time. Every aspect of the evening from drinks at the bar to coffee took an exceptionally long time(other than the chap with the red hair)food was lovely and the staff were very polite. Just waited far too long for attention and service.

Food was lovely service in restaurant was wonderful. Think they need to get the threadbare bit of carpet sorted in lounge/ bar. Doesn't look good. Great stay.

Our second visit to this hotel, pleasant & relaxing. Excellent food cooked to perfection although Menu similar to our previous visit 3months ago. Drinks & Wine expensive but if you can afford to stay then you can afford the prices for the drinks. So much to choose from at the Breakfast Buffet! Enjoyed the Spa facilities very relaxing. This is our second booking with Classic Britain & hope to use again soon.

Having stayed for the first time in 2014 we were keen to see if the same standards were being maintained and they were. The staff are all friendly but unobtrusive, the food is excellent as is the facilities. The rooms are a bit tired but very clean and comfy. Would go back again.

I was dissappointed to be given a double rm instead of twin as booked. They did find us a twin but this is the third time this has happened. The room had no waterjug,gowns or enough toiletries. Everything else was great but not good start!

We enjoyed our stay. Our bedroom door did not close properly you had to really bang it which was very noisy but apart from that all ok.

After a recent stay at the Cardrona, I would like to say the rooms were immaculate, very comfortable beds. The restaurant and staff were excellent. I would highly recommend a visit.

Excellent check in and out, the spar staff were very polite, the restaurant staff were very courteous. Our room was light and airy and the bathroom clean. This was a better experience than the last time we stayed at the Cardrona.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a busy weekend and another time we would book our mealtimes well in advance as we had to eat quite late. Food was excellent though

Big queue for check in, room big nice bathroom with separate shower, a lot of dust which was disappointing for a 4 star hotel, no TV working in public bar are,again disappointing as big rugby match was on, drinks OK hotel prices which was to be expected, meal at night was also very disappointing as was the service, had to get own drinks through dinner,long wait between courses and ended up not having a desert after being in the restaurant for 1 HR 45 min had lost the will by then. Breakfast was OK, self service so was quick but lots of people having to wait on a table as we left. Would not book a MacDonald hotel again .

Stayed at this hotel on Sunday night and whilst we enjoyed our break there were a few areas that could certainly be improved on. Pros: Beautiful setting, modern room and bathroom, delicious dinner. Cons: Queues at check in 3 pm Informed that Spikes bar was open with TV to watch rugby.......not open, TV wasn't working, carpet in Spikes looked as though it had never seen a Hoover. Staff less than helpful. Was sent to 3rd floor bar area, the barman was good and helpful, but we and others were ignored by girl serving behind the bar, no eye contact nor communication ....very poor ! Dinner at 8:30pm there was a queue for tables...........disorganised chaos. Dinner was lovely and waiting staff were really good. Barman next to reception rarely left his post.....resulting in dirty, glass laden tables in seating area.......poor ! Breakfast, another queue for 20 mins, supervisor was very pleasant. Food was running out, sloppy serving area........... We rated our night a 7/10 only because the beds were the comfiest we have slept in and the dinner was very good. Cardronna management need to be better organised on a busy weekend. Disorganised chaos, staff under pressure and poor standards resulted. Lots of unhappy customers complaining this special weekend.
