Lovely hotel. Good service and staff friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious at dinner. Breakfast was really good with great selection. My only criticism is that breakfast could have been hotter, felt we had to eat quickly before it got cold.

Unfortunately I did not get a room in the Hotel building , we were allocated an executive studio, which was very nice the only problem was having to get to the hotel for breakfast and dinner in the pouring rain, I actually chose to pay for a superior room when I booked this hotel , so therefore was very disappointed with this arrangement ,

Great stay; surprised with very good facilities, food and service. Children well catered for. In house cinema great with daily afternoon film for children and evening film for adults. Spacious seating in lounge areas for groups, family. Nice woodland walks in the grounds. Pool and spa very good. Only a 15 - 20 min walk into Crieff Town Centre; although there's an hilly incline on return walk, but manageable if fairly fit. We will definitely return.

The room was on the second floor and was adequate not luxury. The bed was a great size but there was no view and it was extraordinary hot which was uncomfortable. It was a very busy hotel with lots of children and families so if you want a quiet romantic coupley break make sure it is not within holiday times. Great for young families.

If our room was the best available on arrival, it doesn't say a great deal about other rooms. While it was clean and comfortable, it was really pretty small. While the Hydro offers just about every leisure facility imaginable, the one we wanted to use - the Victorian Spa - was closed for renovation. When we challenged staff about this, they asserted that all guests were being advised, in advance, we weren't! Nor were we advised at check-in. Otherwise, the hotel has a great deal to offer.

We only stayed one night and unfortunately it rained on the day we arrived so we couldn't fully enjoy the great set up outdoors. A lovely walk was had around the knock walk loop and passed happy trekkers on horses and cheery Segway off roaders (looked amazing fun). My partner is keen on a nice coffee but wasn't all that impressed with the coffee served up - it was the same at all coffee outlets. The evening meal - the soup was brilliant broccoli and rock for but we where let down with the lack of flavour in the battered fish and duck meals. We would recommend the resort and indeed will return ourselves someday.

First visit to Crieff Hydro, very impressed. From the moment we arrived, the members of staff were friendly and courteous, a real strength of this hotel. Our bedroom and bathroom were immaculate and this standard of cleanliness was echoed in the toilet facilities in the building. We had a lovely meal at the Murraypark where Bruno and Joe gave excellent service. Fantastic choice at breakfast and it was a very nice touch to be greeted by name when I gave my room number. The grounds are beautifully kept and we enjoyed several strolls around the gardens - the ducklings in the pond were an added bonus!! The Victorian Spa is so relaxing - thank you to Charlotte at reception for my daughter's complementary pass as it was her birthday. I note that other reviews mention the number of children around. The hotel website makes it clear that all ages are catered for and this is part of the charm of Crieff Hydro. From tiny babies to a lady celebrating her 90th birthday with her family around her, it was a delight to see an establishment promoting the importance of family. Keep up the good work! My only gripe is that I missed the ceilidh but as we have already booked a return visit for August, fingers crossed!
