Lovely setting and lovely overnight stay. Pros Staff were very welcoming and attentive Room was great, clean and cosy. Dinner and breakfast were decent. Cons Sauna wasn't working and changing facilities were closed. (Probably a temporary issue) Could do with a refresh in some areas but that's me nitpicking. Overall we had a nice relaxing night away.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff were very attentive and helpful. However, we had booked a deluxe room with the promise of a mini fridge with soft drinks and a coffee machine, neither of which were in the room. When I asked if the room was a deluxe room as these items were missing the staff member just kept asking if I had received an email confirming this. We had paid an extra £50 for the deluxe room but it wasn’t deluxe.

We very much Enjoyed our stay. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was spotless and the food was delicious. Only downside for us was the room was very warm!

Glad that we were only staying for one night as it was very disappointing. The room was very dated and scruffy, as were most of the common areas. The food was standard at best, except for the breakfast which was a buffet breakfast (in a 4 star hotel?) and was less than appetizing. There was no music or atmosphere in the restaurant at dinner, and the only sound piped through the speakers was the audio from Strictly Come Dancing! There was a wedding on which was very loud and meant that regular hotel guests struggled to find seats or tables in the bar area. There was also shouting and arguing in the corridor at night and apparently the police were called to a disturbance. All in all I'm amazed that this hotel has a 4 star rating and achieved 2 AA Rosettes for it's food. I suspect that will not be the case the next time they are assessed.

We had a very enjoyable stay, the hotel and grounds are lovely and the food delicious. The swimming pool and gym facilities was good. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

We had a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds are impressive. The staff were helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast was good, but the a la carte menu was a bit disappointing with a fairly limited choice, in fact on the second night we chose from the bar menu.

Great stay in lovely surroundings with a particular mention of the friendly, accommodating staff and fabulous food (dinner allowance covered 2/3 courses each night with nothing extra to pay) The room itself was average though the bedlinen was good quality and the bed comfy - however the floors were squeaky, very noisy and the sink had huge cracks in it that staff were already aware of.

Really nice stay. Rooms clean and tidy, breakfast and dinner well presented and served in a friendly efficient manner. Pool not very big but adequate during the week when less guests. One issues was the request for room with disabled facilities which was not honoured, making trips to and from the room arduous and painful for a guest with limited mobility and just way too much trouble to move to another room.

Fantastic value stayed 2 nights DBB was upgraded to room 302 which was at front of hotel and had been refurbished which was lovely. Food excellent and so were the staff . Grounds are lovely to walk through and weather was fantastic .
