Just come back from a stay at this hotel. We had a wonderful time, starting with a lovely welcome. Our room was lovely., very clean., with a nice bathroom. All the staff were extremely nice and very helpful. Our evening meal was second to none, the choice was good and our food was delicious. Breakfast was also very good., with a very attentive service. Many thanks to everyone from the manager, receptionist and waitress who served us. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely go back! Many thanks for a lovely break

Excellent service and excellent food. Our late arrival back one evening made us really appreciate the fact that Dinner is served until as late as 9pm.

Wi Fi not working and shower was just a trickle. Not acted on despite asking for something to be done on several occasions. However great location, staff very nice, food great and great value. For money.

Hello there, Thanks for including a short review of your stay with us - we always appreciate guests taking the time to do that. I would just like to clarify the issue with your bill though. I did call you at home the day you left the hotel as there was an outstanding amount on your account. When I spoke to you and you confirmed that these items were infact not yours I apologised profusely. It was indeed an error on our part for which I take full responsibility. However, I want to make it clear that it was an honest error. I certainly didn't try and say you had had those items - and as soon as you informed me otherwise I left the matter alone. I wouldn't want anyone who might read your review to think we are dishonest in any way. I hope this would not put you off from visiting us again sometime. With best wishes, Joanna

Had a very pleasant stay at the Deeside Inn, the staff were very helpful and always smiling, the bedrooms were clean but in need of updating, quite noisy at the front bedrooms, due to single glazed window, the food was very tasty but the portions were on the small side

Had a really good short break at the Deeside Inn Hotel. Room was clean and pleasant and food was amazing. Really good menu with huge portions of amazing food. The staff were excellent, particularly Amy who ran the place very well. The only slight criticism I would have is that with it being an older building the floorboards were very squeeky and so if anyone walked along the corridor it made quite a noise. Also the doors tended to slam shut making a loud bang. This didnt trouble me so much but my other half is a light sleeper and it caused her to wake whenever someone passed our room. All in all, this was a real bargain for what we paid. The meals themselves were worthy of the price we paid for 2 nights

This hotel has only recently been taken over by Crerar and it is therefore a new team. We found the team very helpful. The location is super if you want to explore Deeside. Some of the decor/furnishings are a bit dated but perhaps this is all in hand.

Hello. My wife and I have just had a really nice stay in a new hotel for us, the Deeside Inn in Ballater. The suite we had was very comfortable and was a complementary upgrade by the hotel. I can assure you it was very much appreciated. The Classic Britain deal was as always brilliant value for money which allowed us to enjoy four nights B&B with three of the nights including dinner. The meals and wines were very good and cooked to a high standard by the very experienced chef, Chris a new recruit to the Deeside team. The General Manager, Joanna and her teams front and back of house were very professional and friendly at all times. I would highly recommend this hotel to all. David & Margaret Sneddon

We enjoyed a splendid five nights at the Deeside Inn, an excellent base from which to tour Cairngorm, rural Aberdeenshire and Royal Deeside. Some bookings had cancelled due to concern over the deep freeze and the snow gates at Glenshee being closed - a great shame for tourism in this area of outstanding natural beauty and warm welcome. So...a word of encouragement to anyone pondering the worth of travelling the long way (via Aberdeen)to Deeside: Get Here - or you don't know what you are missing! We were treated to five straight days of mountain, loch and river Winter Wonderland in splendid isolation. Visibility was sparkling, with conditions on the whole dry and sunny, if chilly, and all roads (even the minor)admirably cleared and gritted. As to the Deeside Inn itself, visitors will find a genuinely warm welcome from new manager Joanna and her switched-on team. We were looked after superbly, with friendly down-to- earth service from all, including local 'insider' tips & recommendations, plus demonstration of attention to detail: for example, noting that we were staying five nights on a DB&B deal, Joanna and the chef ensured that we had some additional menu options to supplement the excellent (if presently modest) winter bar menu. Consequently, we enjoyed some of the best mussels ever (thank you Joe!)some tasty salmon options, splendid haddock, chips & mushy peas, a superb steak pie - oh, and a good choice of tasty cooked breakfasts with the sausage, black pudding and haggis all a delicious highlight. The bar, dining room and (especially) lounge area really make a winter stay at the Deeside Inn, with two log fires tended regularly, and a truly convivial atmosphere created with comfortable and varied seating around which to enjoy a drink or a blether; plus plenty of lamplight to read by - for it's an ideal spot to curl up with a good book. Our bedroom was perfectly adequately equipped (very comfortable bed, plenty of hot water) and kept spotlessly c
