Booked in for one night dbb. Pleasant clean room, shower only but ok. Food taken in bar, good selection and well prepared.Nice atmosphere, staff friendly and helpfull. Hotel and staff showed a lot of attention to detail. Well situated for trips to Glasgow/Ayrshire.Will stay here again.

The hotel is in a quiet little village they have a very good menu choice and the food is lovely. The staff are brilliant and can’t do enough for you, we will definitely be returning.

As with all previous bookings made through myhotelbreak.com the room was clean, cosy and comfortable and the food was very good. What made this hotel so special was the brilliant staff! From the initial welcome, right through to check-out, each and every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. It really added to the enjoyment of the break.

Lovely hotel and very pleasant and attentive staff. Food was very good. Rooms were clean and warm. Only gripe was we were at front of hotel, no noise from bar underneath us although quiz night on and very busy, was only inconsiderate people standing outside main door very loud. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Although a little bit outdated, the hotel is immaculate. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We will certainly stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it to any perspective customers.

Lovely hotel. All staff go the extra mile to make stay as enjoyable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is of excellent quality and bedrooms are basic but spotless and very comfortable. Will return.

Stayed here several times before but after our last stay it us unlikely we will return. Food as always was excellent and staff are welcoming and attentive. Our room was lovely and the prosecco and chocolates were great before dinner. On arrival we were told that they had a 21st birthday party on the Saay night and so the hotel would be a little busier than normal. Didn't think anything about this as usually the hotel is quiet and peaceful and we get a great nights sleep after a day out walking. In hindsight we should have cancelled there and then and headed home. On the Friday night we were kept awake until after midnight by noisy guests in the next room and then once we did get to sleep we were wakened at 5am by strange noises coming from the sink and bath. On the Saay night we couldn't get to sleep until 12.30 due to the noise of the birthday party below. It sounded like our room was directly above the disco as we could hear every word the DJ said and couldn't hear our TV above the music. By the time they played Loch Lomond I felt like slitting my wrists. If we hadn't had a bottle of wine with our dinner we would have driven home. Again we were wakened at 6am by strange noises from the plumbing. I don't expect to pay £70 a night to only get a few hours sleep. Either the hotel needs to improve their sound proofing or needs to refrain from taking paying guests when they have a function on. Had they told us we would get no sleep until 12.30 we could have cancelled our stay and gone elsewhere. This is a real shame as we have loved every stay we have had here before and it was in such a good location for visiting lots of places. We had been really looking forward to a peaceful weekend with great food and drink but ended up going home more tired than when we arrived.

This was our 2nd visit to this hotel and had another outstanding stay, ,food,cleanliness, and value for money cannot be faulted, but what really makes this hotel so good is the people,from owners to all staff nothing is too much trouble, they make you feel at home from the minute you arrive. .Outstanding!

Really enjoyed stay, made to feel very welcome. Food was lovely but we felt service was slow on some occasions. Thoroughly recommend hotel as very quiet area, peaceful setting. We'd return if in the area again.

Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful - including showing us round the hotel. This is a real plus point for the hotel, staff are a big asset. Food was very good and as already mentioned service was excellent.
