Lovely big bedroom, excellent bedroom. Excellent location. Very good leisure facility if you go at a quiet time of day as lots of school children use the pool. Would def stay again.

Good location, very central. Hotel beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Staff were overly helpful especially the gentleman working in the restaurant. Swimming pool a bit cool, but clean with a relaxing atmosphere. Food beautiful, but portions too big. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and facilities were amazing however our room backed onto a the back street, where deliveries and bin men attended every morning between 6-9. This was very noisy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good location and facilities including free wi-fi. Meals were good - generous portions and exceptionally good breakfast buffet. The staff were invariably helpful and friendly and it's nice to see that many of them have worked there for years.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic food in the restaurant and the room was extremely clean and tidy. The spa was very relaxing and along with thr great location of the hotel, made out stay extremely enjoyable. woukf definitely recommend it!

Nice room but cold heaters only on at certain times great shower and bathroom. Dinner on both nights was from the bar menu but good food breakfast good overall a lovely hotel and good stay definitely go back

Reslly enjoyed our stay again at the Palace Hotel & Spa. Our room was huge with a lovely bay window which overlooked the river and over to the castle. The shower like the room was huge and lovely fluffy towels (which I really like!) Nice toiletries too. Only problem we had was our kettle, needing a cuppie on arrival it wasn't heating up, it was replaced with a new one within 5 minutes. Staff very helpful especially in the resturant even when it was really busy. Great food, breakfast had everything you could want. Pool was never too busy in the afternoons. Will definately be back.

Hotel was an average 3* Rooms were dated and the matress on both double beds were past their best, hard and could feel and hear every spring on movement. The service was quite slow and our meal in the evening was average pub grub. Saving grace for our weekend was the brekafast which was a good selection for brekafast and also the swimming pool for the little one to enjoy.

Most enjoyble except that we were on the fourth floor with the lift out of action - 64 stairs to room - no need to use the gym. That's not really their fault though.

Lovely view across the river. Comfortable rooms. Very Friendly and accommodating staff and excellent food. Good value for money.

Excellent accommodation, room was upgraded to an executive suite on arrival. Good breakfast, friendly staff. The only comment I would make was that the bar & brassierie was closed due to floor being oiled on the first night, although this did not spoil our stay it would have been nice to have the option.
