Both my Husband & I ordered rib eyes steak for dinner. The steak was grey in colour and not edible.

All public areas nice, but our bedroom very small and very dated. Bathroom tiny . Loads of steps if u in an In between room as we were.

Arrived on the Friday night and the woman on reception didn't acknowledge us straight away even though there was no other staff or customers at reception. She seemed too busy. When we did check in breakfast and check out times were not advised. We didn't have our complimentary bottle of wine in the room so asked for it at dinner instead. We booked our table for 8.30 but when we arrived we were asked to order a drink and wait at the bar. We were seated at 8.45 but a couple had come in before this without a reservation and were seated straight away. Bottle of wine arrived after we finished our after asking for it 3 times. My partner's soup was almost spilt down his front and they turned the light out while we were having our dessert. Food was nice though and accommodation was ok but service wasn't great.

We stayed in the apartment opposite the hotel as the hotel was fully booked, we only spent time in the hotel having breakfast and dinner. I would not recommend the apartment, it wasn't very warm even with the heaters on full. The entrance was dirty and needed a good clean. There was nothing in the apartment to give you any details regarding the hotel or the surrounding area, it was our first visit to Blairgowrie and would have found a little information about the area very useful. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel which was OK.

Good value but staff could have been a bit better switched on - none of them knew what the others were up to and were a bit pass remarkable about the hotel. Some confusion over what the Classic Britain voucher entitles you to regarding wine and afternoon tea. All sorted out. Food good but breakfast buffet a bit lacking. Coffee terrible. Crockery not clean but were working on dishwasher. Room clean and it's all you need if you are going fishing or walking. Pool is a bit tired. Needs a proper deep clean. No attendant present. Take flip-flops as the pool surrounds covered in hair - yuk.

We had a great time staying at the Angus Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! We used the swimming pool twice. It was lovely, with a nice jacuzzi and sauna. Would go back again.

Our stay was for one night only,but found the lift to our room on the 3rd floor was inadequate I am slightly disabled (lift had room for 3),for the amount of guests(over 200) that were at the hotel, and found us waiting for at least 20 minutes every time we were going up or down. Our toilet had a broken seat cover that has obviously been like this for some time( broken hinge on the seat ) and could be dangerous with it constantly slipping of the toilet , we ended up just completely removing it and left it on the floor . We also had stairs outside our room with a gradient of 1:5 incredibly steep and descending around 6 feet with very shallow step extremely dangerous for older persons (how this passed building regulations I will never know), but children at 6am in the morning found it an incredible adventure running along the outside corridor shouting and bawling then jumping up the stairs then jumping down landing right in front of our bedroom door. And of course the parents also found this hilarious until I advised them people are still asleep.... but on there return found it exhilarating to annoy other guest again. Food was good, service adequate ..But had to go home for a sleep, but will not be back ...

Good Hotel. staff excellent/ room adequate and very clean. Staff very helpful and attentive. Dinner and breakfast was first class. I would definitely visit this hotel again.
