Had a recent relaxing DBB overnight deal at Barony Castle Hotel. The staff were excellent especially in the dining room as we had an 11 month child with us, they couldn't have been more helpful. Well worth the price asked by classic Britain, will definitely return.

Stayed for an overnight with my daughter, sister n neice as a treat for the girls for completing their exams! We had a great time, rooms were nice, meals were of a high standard. The Spa was excellent esp at half price for treatments. The therapists were lovely and very attentive which added to the overall experience! Goin back with my husband next month for our Anniversary.

Absolutely loved our overnight stay at this hotel. The fantastic weather meant being able to sit in the outside garden area. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing, so much so that it may be the nicest meal I've ever had in a hotel! The room was pretty basic but clean and okay size. The pool looked lovely but unfortunately did not have time for a dip. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family & friends & would love to return in the future.

Relaxing and romantic. Surroundings and service wonderful. At times a bit busy due to wedding taking place but guests soon decanted to the function suite and the lounge area became calm once again.

An OK weekend was had - weekend was spoiled by the fact we were wedding crashers. There was a large wedding on at the hotel - which was lovely and the hotel did the wedding party proud. Unfortunately, the opneeds of the other guests were completely ignored. I really feel that we should have been informed of the wedding. Although i booked through classic britain i did contact the hotel re the booking before going ahead. It was not the quiet romantic break for 2 that we had planned. Very noisy and felt like unwanted guests.

Very nice hotel in lovely setting. Staff friendly, courteous and helpful. Food very good. Common areas and bedrooms very clean and tidy. One downside - the bed in Room 131 was uncomfortably hard ( I like firm but,it was too firm for comfort). I would recommend hotel to others and if ever wishing to visit the area again I would return to the Barony Castle.

Lovely hotel very friendly and very helpful staff. Able to take our dog so that was great as well.Lovely walks around the hotel. Would definitely go back to the hotel again.

wev had a lovely 2 night break at the castle we upgraded our room because we had our little dog with us needed more room ,even thought the clasic room was nice service was good sotoo was the food beautiful setting geat for walks

Had a lovely 2 night stay (wed/thur)great pool which we had to ourselves anytime we used it! bar can be pretty pricey as most hotels are, food was great we had dinner & breakfast in the hotel.

enjoyed stay and accommodation very nice. However, room was not as ordered and some amenities were missing given it was an upgrade to a superior room. Having said that, would use again.

We had a wonderful break at Barony Castle. The hotel was excellent and food superb. We thought that it would have been better if the evening meal in the dining room had just been set meal (with the same choices, which were very good) but perhaps stating the more exspensive dishes as a supplement rather than us having to try to work out the allowance. There were seven of us in our party and we all had a super time. Loved the grounds and had some good walks.

Bedrooms very dated, kept awake half night with noise/creaking floorboards. Bedroom very disappointing quality. Requested twin room, room we eventually took was a double split into 2 singles which resulted each bed having only a portion of headboard! Carpets in need of a good clean. Service at breakfast was very poor. Service at Dinner was excellent. Food was very good, plenty to choose from and quality was excellent. Pity the hotel let itself down on so many things. Lovely setting.

I booked our stay on 6th may. Our stay was 11th. I specifically requested a ground floor room as my wife has difficulty walking. When we arrived we were told that our room was on the 3rd floor as we had requested and paid for a superior room. I feel that there was enough time prior between booking and arriving to inform us of this and allow us an opportunity to go elsewhere. My wife also has asthma and a fear of lifts. Our stay caused my wife some disconfort. The superior room consisted of bath robes, two bottles of water and a coffee making maching, which I would have gladly given up and saved myself

Recently stayed at barony Castle with a group o friends (4 couples). We had DBB on the first night & BB the second. Thought it was very good value for the money. Staff all really nice and very helpful indeed. Dinner & breakfast was excellent. Pool area nice too. We had intended have some spa treatments but it was fully booked we contacted the hotel a few weeks before we were due to stay, would advise book these early. Grounds of the hotel are lovely just a pity the wheather did not allow us to enjoy these as much as we would have liked. Our room was a bit on the small side but the other 3 couples were a much better size. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Had a good enjoyable stay at this holtel. Location is great and the facilities are as expected for a 3 Star hotel. Service is fine but could be better at dinner time. Overall would recommend for a short stay. Rating below reflects what would be expected for this catagory of hotel

Staff so friendly and helpfully with great menu and quality excellent. Room very small and did not see the benefit of the premier room. Would go back as also enjoyed the pool and gym.

The hotel was very busythe staff struggled to cope, bedroom not ready on arrival, slow with serving food and only had two sittings, lots not on the menu, whendown last thing for breakfast, no table, struggled to get hot breakfast.The bedroom was nice when we got it but too hot overnight

Food, service and atmosphere at hotel was great. Room was a little dated as was the bathroom. The pool was nice but quite small and the changing areas very small - not much space to leave belongings etc. Overall a fantastic stay - well recommended

Really enjoyed our stay, booked a double room and as hotel busy we were upgraded to a suite, it was luxury! Staff very helpful and polite. The menu had a large choice and all food tasted really nice .
