GIVEN 2 ROOMS FACING OUTSIDE WALL WHEN WE COMPLAINED GOT 2 NICER ROOMS FACING RIVER.NOT ENEOGH STAFF FOOD VERY POOR.NICE HOTEL NEEDING A BIT UPDATED.

We had a really enjoyable time at the Angus Hotel, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the food, pool etc were excellent. There was a bit of a lull while the disco got started after the tribute night ended. The only thing that really let it down was the showers. In one room it kept changing from burning hot to cold and in the other the shower head would not stay in a usable position so we had to use the bath instead.

The hotel was alright. the staff were very nice especially in the bar. The food was good we enjoyed our meal. The room was ok, apart from the toilet facilities which were very poor , sliding door to the toilet was not ideal and it was too small. Also an alarm went off early morning either a car or the hotel's alarm.

The hotel was clean and tidy. The room was really good. The staff were excellent. The food was good but could have been better. I would recommend the hotel to my friends and we will return for another stay. The parking was terrible.

Our first visit for five years and we will not be back.Room 10.Stained mugs,no freeview on TV,sliding bathroom door which I cut my hand on,loose toilet seat ,mould around bath,small bed,outlook onto a wall feet away.Dinner was poor as if nobody really cared.Boiled potatoes like bullets,tiny portion for starter.The worst cheesecake I have ever had served with the cheapest ice cream.

Booked one night dealexclusive at Angus Hotel. stayed on the dbb package with afternoon tea and i must say was very good value for money. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Common areas very modern although bathroom/bedroom could do with an update although was clean. could really complain for the price paid. Bed comfortable too. we had booked for a superior room but on arrival were told that there had been a problem with it. to compensate we were given a bottle of wine in our room. all in all a pleasant stay. only negative i would say was that our dessert was served not long after our main dishes had been taken away. i would have liked a little more of a breather between my main and dessert course but i suppose thats down to personal preference really. would recommend hotel to others and would definately return to stay again.

Food good, bedroom ok but shower was terrible hardly any water flow at all, as only there one night did not bother to mention this. The tribute show was good at start but then became boring as it was the same old stuff no variety.

When we arrived we had a twin room but booked a double. Have a young family and don't get away very often on our own so a bit disappointed. Spoke to reception and offered me a bottle of wine as they could not move me as the hotel was full. Wasn't happy with that and was asked to wait until manger had came out of meeting. Spoke to him and he was very apologetic and was told because of the inconvenience he would not charge for the stay. Persoonally I felt this was excellent. He said they would normally just move people when this happened but as the hotel was full and was not our fault he would not charge us. The hotel rooms are excellent very clean and well laid out. Also plenty tea, coffee, and milk. My only critisim would be that the corridor areas is very dated. Staff could not be faulted they were excellent with the service and smile. All in all I would most definitely recommend this hotel and will be back to stay again. One more thank you to the manager for that kind gesture of the refund. Forgot to say food excellent.

Hotel is in need of sprucing up. Is a bit tired looking especially the bedroom. Food was excellent and always hot. Staff were a mixed bag some helpfull and pleasant others rude or clueless. The older lady at reception was downright rude and preferred to carry on her conversation with staff while dealing with guests. The noise level in the bedrooms when events are on is extremely loud and little rest or sleep can be expected.

Nice hotel, comfy rooms, although the twin could have had the beds separated! Was a little noisy boxing (Fri)music (Sat)but didn't disturb too much. Food nice, on the whole very friendly staff.

Booking in took longer than expected. Room was TIRED at best and did not keep out the horrendous NOISE.Bathroom door did not close fully. Dining on 1 st night was served by waitress who must have started that night as she did not have a clue what to do. Lack of training perhaps. Was not asked if we would like a drink, then had to ask 3 different staff for a drink. By the time it arrived we had finished our starter and main course. Food was to a reasonable standard. Did not use swimming pool as we noticed scum around the edges and did not appear to have been cleaned recently. Saturday night entertainment [Fawlty Towers] was excellent and very professional. Unfortunately we were sat next to a person who could not control his drinking habit or indeed his language. This is no fault of your company but the hotel continued to serve him drink even after he managed to be sick all over the table thus causing all other guests [8] at the table to leave. The room we had [no 16] was right above the venue and had no insulation from the noise created by the patrons. We managed to get to sleep around 2.30 am on both nights. It was apparent to me that this hotel is poorly run with no policing of hotel rules re noise in general. Please note I am now a retired businessman and my staff were properly trained in how to deal with the public,a skill sadly lacking at this hotel. We did complain to the reception and an apology was given. Not in my opinion a place to re-visit. Alan Harris.

had a lovely time at angus hotel all the public areas are really nicely decorated clean and modern with really nice staff some of bedrooms in hotel are a bit tired looking but very clean and fresh towels every day

Unfortunately the bathroon had a sliding door and did not close properly. There was a notice in the bathroom which states door must be closed when having a bath/shower as the steam could set of the fire alarm. There was some dirty dishes on tables when we went down for our evening meal. May be a need to address staffing levels.

We have stayed at this Hotel before and the staff are friendly and helpful, on a down side wish we had a bigger room, we used the leisure faciities could do with being refurbished, the steps into the pool could do with be tightened, but really enjoyed our stay and the 70's tribute band were excellent, would definately use this hotel again.

Good value excellent service very friendly and helpfull staff. Had read some not great reviews on food but had really nice meals during our stay. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
