An excellent two day break, friendly, helpful staff, very well maintained building and grounds. Golf course super. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. Amazing value...well done

A really excellent hotel. Will definitely be back. The service was excellent although we did have to wait for a table at breaking due to number. The tables for two for dinner were very close together but I believe plans are in place for extension of dining room so there should be no complaints about this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were extremely friendly,efficient and helpful.the facilities were excellent,lovely pool,wellkept gardens and the golf course was excellent.the deal we got was brilliant and the two daybreak wehad more than lived up to our expectation.well done Cardrona.

Visited May 2014 for 3 days DBB. Friendly helpful staff. Good meals, great outlook and ease to go walking locally. Only minor disappointment was limited seating in lounge after dinner. Overall had a great time and going back with my golf clubs.

Great rooms, service was good but a shade perhaps because the hotel was almost full. Food excellent quality. All the extras such as drinks at the bar and rolls/sandwiches are a tad expensive. Did not try the spa but the golf was another excellent experience. Altogether a recommended break.

Great deal, good value for money stayed on a DB&B deal. Friendly helpful staff, large comfortable room, nice surprise 4 chocolates in room. Tasty 3 course dinner, Very busy for dinner despite booking 24 hours in advance only able to get 8.45pm not a problem for us but maybe for some. Reception bar area rather small. Good views from room either front over road and fields to the rear golf course and fields/hills.

The hotel was full which was a good sign but the only problem was that the breakfast time was very busy. We were served promptly and efficiently but the waiters were so busy that they didn't come back to offer more toast, coffee etc. which had happened on previous visits. It is these small details which make your stay special.

Overall had a lovely stay. Friday night dinner and Saturday breakfast were a bit hectic with long waits for and inbetween courses. Friday night had no side plate on table for bread, and had to ask for salt and pepper. Those two meals were a bit of a disappointment. Some areas of the hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment. Hope this is helpful.

This hotel and spa was a wonderful experiance the bedrooms were spotless,a well montained spa the spa was extremely clean. The dining facilites were of an extremely high standard please send compilments to the chief. The staff were very welcoming and friendly at all times. I certainly would come back again.

As always I book short hotel breaks by phone with Classic Britain as I always find staff very helpful. Both my husband and myself along with two friends enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful on arrival - one of our rooms was ready. Evening meal taken on both nights was of a very high standard, served by very pleasant staff. Breakfast was very tasty. Our order for cooked breakfast on second morning was a bit mixed up but staff sorted this and we didn't mind waiting as staff were obviously very busy. Dining room very busy for dinner and as a result when we booked time for dinner by phone on morning of arrival we could only be offered a time much later than we would have liked but we now know if we were to return we would book dinner at time of booking so as to avoid disappointment. We paid for a room upgrade and had a lovely view over golf course and surrounding area. If I was to pick one niggle it would be that toiletries were not replaced and feel they should have been room upgrade or not. Apart from that one issue we were very happy with our stay at Cardrona. Loved setting and Peebles. People very friendly and helpful which we felt was good for tourism.
