My husband and I loved our stay at the riverside hotel the staff were very friendly, the food was excellent we will certainly be back again soon.

The hotel lobby and restaurant are beautifully decorated and we had a lovely 2 course meal. Very tasty, however the room was very basic and needed upgrading. There was one lamp which was frayed (room 210). Bed was comfy enough. There weren't any blinds to pull to allow some light still to come in and give some privacy from houses overlooking our bedroom. The breakfast was poor, most of the hot buffet needed refilled and the sausage I took was only partially cooked. Had to ask for a tea bag for my mug because the tea was like water from the flask and there was were no clean bowls left for cereal etc. We felt as it was so cheap you only get what you pay for.

Fabulous Hotel couldn't fault a thing. Staff were so friendly. Lovely rooms and dinner was really nice. For the price it's well worth the value. Will definitely be back !

Lovely clean modern hotel. Excellent value. Delicious evening meal included, plus bottle of wine in room. Hopefully when bathrooms are upgraded some will have walk in showers. Helpful friendly staff. Hotel highly recommended.

We stayed one night with dinner & breakfast,dinner was fantastic but the stay was let down badly due to the room mattress being to hard,we had such a poor nights sleep(4 hrs)we left the hotel at 0630,If you cant stand a hard mattress dont stay here.

Great value for money. Reception and foyer definitely 4 star but room, although very large, was tired so 3 star for that. It seemed like there were staffing issues at breakfast- tables not cleared, empty spaces for food etc. during a visit to the bar area for a coffee we asked a man for a beverage in a glass-style cup due to our elderly guest having arthritis and not having the strength to lift certain mugs/cups. This seemed to be quite an inconvenience with him telling us that there weren’t any clean so couldn’t help. I was pleasantly surprised when the glass DID arrive but he’d already put me in a mood with the attitude. To end on a high, I really couldn’t fault value for money. The hotel just needs a lick of paint and some weeding done to help boost the setting.

Stayed here a few times now have always enjoyed it unfortunately in the morning the bread for toasting was blue moulded when I alerted staff they did bring out a fresh loaf I also let reception know at check out .

Enjoyable stay in a comfy room with nice food and good service, only issue was the wardrobe door falling on wife when initially opened, no harm done and management very apologetic and arranging for maintenance when advised on check out.

Hi we’ve just returned from our night away at this lovely hotel, Riverside lodge hotel, it was our best decision to go to this beautiful hotel, great staff comfortable and spacious room, very clean and everything you might need, the hotel was amazing no complaints ever that’s why we’re going back in August for my birthday and we can’t wait to experience the wonderful time we had in June

Lovely Hotel. Really Speedy Check In & Nice Clean Room. Bar & Restaurant Area Immaculate Modern & Fresh With Helpful Staff Made To Feel Very Welcome. Would 100 Per Cent Recommend This Hotel The Value For Money Is Amazing. Lovely 2 Course Meal & Great Choice At Breakfast Also.

Hotel is surrounded by a private housing estate, which I found odd. However, we really enjoyed our stay, and would return again. The biggest asset that the hotel has is it's staff. We found them very friendly and helpful, really outstanding. Dinner was also good. Main courses for both me and my wife were excellent. Breakfast was also pretty good. Room was OK, although ours was at the back of the hotel and looked directly into the housing estate.

It was my Grandaughter and her partner who were there..I had booked it for her 30th birthday. .Pamela said it was a lovely hotel..loved her room..staff were brilliant and the food was very good..she said she would definitely go back again..

Myself and My partner had a lovely stay and the food was delicious, only a few negatives the first one being breakfast on the first morning of our stay, the breakfast area was extremely busy and had run out of rolls,pastries and fruit and yoghurt, the 2nd thing is that we found the room to be very dated and in need to upgrade. But other than that fab stay and will be back.

Booked in for a wedding anniversary night celebration. Reception, bar and restaurant areas were lovely, modern and bright. Rooms in need of TLC. Were left standing waiting to be seated at dinner as two female members of staff looked at us without acknowledgement, then continued with their gossip. Very rude. Rest of staff were more professional, and the meals were fantastic. First time at Riverside and will return.

2nd visit in a month to Riverside and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really pleasant staff, nice hotel, very good dinner and breakfast. Lovely room with a big comfortable bed. Only fault is the blackout curtains, excellent, but the pelmet is not quite long enough so the room becomes very bright around 4.30am.

On the positive the hotel is lovely, the room was nice and clean but a bit tired and in need of decoration. The service for the meal at night was delicious however service was very slow. Breakfast was a disaster, tea flask was empty so took coffee, later when the tea flask was filled there were no spare cups to get tea. Went to make toast and there was no bread, bread eventually got replenished then they ran out of butter. There was orange juice but no glasses. On going to the hot buffet there were no plates. The buffet was never fully stocked ie if there was sausage and bacon there was no eggs or potato scones and vice versa. The staff were helpful however the breakfast was very poorly managed. There were 4 of us and not one of us got a full breakfast :(

On booking, requested ground floor room not far to walk. On check in put upstairs as no ground floor room available and no lift, and heck of a walk. However, the hotel was good value for money. Hope they get a lift installed soon.

Stayed 2nights DBB on 19 June. Fabulous hotel, our twin room was stunning with door to outside courtyard. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Felt very relaxed as soon as we walked into reception, has very calming atmosphere. Menu was lovely and very well priced and great portion size. Will definitely be back, just loved our stay.

Lovely hotel on quiet location but within walking distance of main retail park and harbouring. Staff were very helpful and food was of a good standard.
