Fantastic stay at the Hydro, staff were so attentive, the breakfast and dinner was great value for money and so delicious. Our room was so clean and fresh especially with covid concerns. Entertainment was fun and the pool and sauna was brilliant and so relaxing. Just what was needed.

Had a good two night break. Food was lovely. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was basic but clean. Hotel could do with a freshen up in some areas but that’s to be expected with older buildings. Overall a nice hotel for a wee break.

The staff were excellent.The room was okay and the hotel was very clean. All in all it was a great 2 night stay especially the Wednesday as there was entertainment on (a great singer) Would gladly book again .

All the staff were courteous and tentative. Our room looked as though it had been recently refurbished and was spotlessly clean. The hotel was lovely and the buffet breakfast had a good selection of fruit juice, cereal, porridge, fruit and continental breakfast selection. There was also the the scooped Scottish buffet to choose from.

A very enjoyable stay, good procedures in place with very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely buffet breakfast with plenty of choice well cooked and presented. Gloves provided for use at the buffet but it is a pity some people thought they didn't apply to them, please people help the staff to keep everyone safe. Room was very clean and comfortable with good facilities. Having the swimming pool open was a bonus that we took full advantage of, great.

Booked a 2 night stay with breakfast and dinner on first night. Great value. The breakfasts were great. Dinner was ok. The hotel staff were helpful and very nice. The bedroom was ok. The room I was in had been modernised to some degree and was comfy. It wasn’t the plushest but I would definetly go back as it was really comfy. They followed Covid regulations and I felt quite safe. I really enjoyed the few days away.

Room & bathroom clean and view was good from one side. Fort was good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Although the staff in dining area were very busy at peak meal & breakfast times, They did their best to meet the demands o guests.

Lovely stay at the Hydro. They are trying hard to get back to normality but a bit short staffed & evening meal was set menu due to this. It wasn't the greatest but staff very nice so can overlook this. Breakfast was lovely and rooms fresh & airy.

The dinner menu with the £50 voucher was a shambles most of the guests complained or ate out like ourselves so the deal wasn’t that good.

We have just returned from the Pitlochry hotel. The hotel does need upgrading, but this does not seem important as it is clean, including the rooms. The bed is comfortable and the staff are so lovely and helpful. The restaurant is run really well and the food Was great. Both my husband and I said that the steak was as good as some of the steak restaurants in Glasgow which takes some beating.

Lovely hotel within walking distance of town centre. Had dinner on 1st night and food was excellent. Breakfast had a large selection of cereal, fruit, bread etc as well as a great selection of hot food. Room was very pleasant.

After reading some of the reviews about this hotel I was extremely worried about our 2 night stay . Yes it’s a old building and could do with some tlc both outside and indoors. We arrived just after 3 for check in but the rooms were not ready until 4. We sat in the lounge which is very dated and dull definitely needs some fresh bright paint. My friend and I wanted a glass of Prosecco but were told they had ran out of the small bottles and wouldn’t open a large bottle for us ! Bit silly but hay ho . Our friends had a room on the ground floor and were very pleased with it saying it was lovely . We paid for superior rooms as this was for a special birthday . We had a room on the 1st floor ,the room was lovely and big although very dated it had obviously had a bit of a freshen up on the roof and walls and yes we had that room with the block of wood to keep the window open . It kept the room cool and fresh . Bed was comfy and room was clean . We were told there would be no room service due to Covid ! I think probably due to staff shortages. Dining room was pleasant and the meal was very good also the staff were very nice that served us . Breakfast was a bit funny as you had to wear disposable gloves before touching anything and negotiate the buffet with lids and tongs but the food was hot and plentiful . Again staff in the morning were lovely . Our friends room was indeed very nice modern and obviously had been refurbished it would be nice if they did all the rooms . All in all we had a very nice stay at the hydro we went expecting nothing and were pleasantly surprised . Yes it’s an old building and yes it does need modernised ,yes the floors creak but it adds character ,yes the walls can be a bit thin but tell me a hotel that doesn’t have thin walls .I wouldn’t rush back but some of the reviews I read before we stayed sounds like a different hotel.we had a nice time .

Hotel room was good But The first night dinner was poor.second was better as we chose the menu of the day.First day breakfast was ok but the second was very slow .We had booked for 9am finally we got part of meal at 9.50 we felt we were invisible.
