A little more attention to detail is required! We requested for a cot in our room as we have a 6 month old baby, so why would anyone allocate a room down three sets if stairs knowing we would have a pram! No baby change facilities in hotel either! We did enjoy our stay and would return

when we arrived, the hotel had no record of our booking, however, the manager was very apologetic and was able to accommodate us for the 2 nights we had booked although this meant changing rooms each day. To compensate for this, he only charged us for 1 night and gave us drinks on the house whilst he arranged a room for the first night. Some other guests had similar problems and they were quite disparaging of the hotel in general, a view which I don't support. I would visit this hotel again.

I have to resist the urge to keep this one a secret, but that would be unfair to the staff at the Isle of Mull Hotel who work very hard to to make this a great place to stay. The level of service is excellent and the evening meals are outstanding. Do yourself a favour and take a break here.

One night stay in a single room, the staff were very helpful and the six course taster meal and breakfast were both excellent. Sadly the bed was not the most comfortable but I have stayed before and I would certainly stay again

This was our second stay at this hotel but we were disappointed as our welcome was not very friendly and the receptionist is the first point of contact and the hotel was in need of a little 'TLC' especially our room which seemed to be a bit of a 'mish mash' as it had obviously been a family room at one time and seemed to have been made into a double. The wall to the left hand side of the window along with the curtain was very badly stained. There was only one bedside cabinet. The sockets were covered by the bed and there was only one socket to use the hairdryer in and that was the socket that the television was plugged into. When using the hairdryer in this socket the flex was not long enough to reach the mirror. The toilet pan was cracked down the back and chipped at the front and also a tile was missing from the back of the wash-hand basin. The room service was a bit lax as we had to ask for the tea bags to be replenished at one point. We also booked this hotel knowing that it had a pool which unfortunately we never managed to use because of a technical fault and the pool was closed. On saying all the above we have to say that the service that we received in the dining room along with the food was excellent and the staff worked very hard and were very friendly and they should be commended for this. We are not sure if we would stay a third time.

was not happy to find that the hotel do not operate service to pick you up from ferry and take you back as said in the confirmation i received from classic Britain, having to walk to the ferry both at the start of holiday and end ,although give the receptionist her due she said if they had transport she would help out.but that was not the case. I feel some cash compensation would help ,and not in the form of vouchers. we felt the menu could have been more traditional instead of six course with not a lot of selection. Scottish food a three course dinner would be better with Soup(scotch broth) main course steak pie, filet of haddock, mince tatties etc. in conclusion i would not pick this hotel again i await a reply

A relaxing place to stay with friendly staff and lovely views. The swimming pool is the only one on the island and is open to the public so can be very busy at times.

A memorable visit! Excellent value! Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff and very clean comfortable room. We would not hesitate to return and hopefully we will sometime. We wish to remain anonymous from public website but told management at the hotel how pleased we were with our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay from 15-18 May with only minor criticisms. The room was a bit on the small side though comfortable and clean. Restaurant service was slow on our first night but spot on thereafter and food was excellent with the taster 6 course menu a delight. Weather could have been better, but hey it's Scotland. Staff at reception , the bar and the restaurant were very friendly and attentive We will return.

Food was brilliant. The room however wasn't the greatest, 2 single beds were pushed together to form a double, with a horrible ridge in the middle from the mattress's. There was no plug for the bath, and the remote for the TV didn't work. The swimming pool, steam room and sauna were great.

I have stayed at the hotel a few times over the past 4 years and have always enjoyed my stay there. Unfortunately this year the room was not up to the standard I have enjoyed previously. The bed was really uncomfortable and appeared to be two single beds pushed together. There were hand and fingermarks on the wall at the headboards. Also the outside hot tub was not working to standard and the spa staff did not appear to be concerned. However the food served as always was delicious and the waiting staff very attentive and cheerful.

Very much enjoyed our three night stay. The 6 course menus were a delight-just the right amount not to be over facing. And very efficient service. Background music was usually so soft as not to bother us at all, though on one occasion when it was a bit louder it was turned down immediately on request. Hardly worth having it at all really, and if necessary something softly Scottish might have been better. Comfortable bedrooms, with adjustable heat. The beautiful view from every window is a great plus, as is the swimming pool and spa.

We had a two night stay at this hotel with dinner, bed and breakfast. Everything was first class, especially the food at all meals. The staff were friendly, attentive and worked very well as a team, particularly in the dining room. Rooms were comfortable, clean and well serviced. Looking forward to another great deal.

The hotel and facilities were great but the hot tub is absolutely filthy and doesn't really work properly which was a shame. I have been to the hotel a couple if years ago and I was really looking forward using the hot tub plus the spa closed at 6pm which wasn't the case before either.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the food was superb, the staff were very friendly and obliging especially the waiting staff in the dining room. Our only criticism was the creaky floor in the room above when guests were moving about.

We enjoyed our stay. The dinners with six courses, some merely mouthfuls, did not appeal. We would have preferred three courses, starter, main course and sweet. We were joined by three of our grandchildren for evening meal and the children's menu proved ideal. The breakfasts were excellent. The bedroom was comfortable though the window did not function well. The pool is an asset.
