Had a comfortable two night break here with a very nice meal on the first night. Dining room staff are lovely and we were welcomed back from one of the breakfast staff who recognised us.

Stayed two nights on DBB deal with bottle of wine in room.Lovely hotel over looking golf course and next to seafront.We booked a standard room and a golf view room.Both were well appointed and comfortable with seating area and plenty tea, coffee etc.Staff were all friendly and helpful.Service and food were very good.Great area for golfing although Carnoustie courses were closed to visitors till 1 April.Good base for exploring-regular trains run to Dundee and Arbroath both just a few miles away.We will be back !

We had the most relaxing mini break here. The room was bright, spacious with modern decor. Large windows opening out onto great views of the golf course. The food was nice and staff friendly and very efficient. Will definitely visit again.

My partner and I have stayed at this hotel many times, the views are amazing and we often call it our happy place. However I have noticed that the rooms are are looking rather run down and the beds are very uncomfortable. Still an amazing place to visit .

We had a DBB deal with a lovely clean, comfortable room. The hotel’s pool and leisure facilities were clean and enjoyable. Bothe the dinner and breakfast were delicious where the staff were very attentive and friendly. We would definitely recommend a visit.

We had an extremely relaxing two night break at Carnoustie, we have been there many times and find all the staff to be extremely helpful. The food was excellent as was my spa treatment by Sharon. Our room was upgraded to a suite after a problem with first one, we were moved right away, and had a great view of the first tee. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Great weekend but had to pay extra for upgrade. As junior suite we booked was NOT the one advertised. On photos on booking form it showed room with large balcony to sit out on. But actually the junior suite only has a juliet balcony that doesn't open fully.

Hotel was good only complaint was dinner portions were small. I had haddock which was so small it should have been thrown back when caught. It was completely covered by smallest poached egg I have ever seen

We had the best time at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Lots of unusual choices on the menu. The food was really good. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to help me choose as I'm dairy intolerant. Our bedroom overlooked the golf course and was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We'll definitely return.

First class break. Room was lovely with a great view out to the beach. Leisure facilities were excellent and food was fab. Staff very friendly and helpful and definitely happy to help ensure we had a lovely time.

Enjoyed a 2 night break with dinner. Fabulous beach just 1 minute from the hotel. Room was dusty and had not been occupied for some time. Carpets had staining. Windows were loose , draughty and noisy. Shower room was very clean and water was lovely and hot. Dining room Staff were mostly helpful. Dinner starters were cold , soup was watery and had to be returned, which was disappointing. Waitress sorted this out quickly with different choices. Main courses were tasty and nicely presented , but not as hot as we would have liked. Breakfast included a good selection of Continental , Full Scottish and made to order-pancakes , porridge and kippers etc. Coffee and tea arrived quickly. Again , food could have been hotter. A pleasant which could be improved with a few tweeks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carnoustie Golf Hotel, our room was spacious & well appointed with a great view of the golf course & the sea, our breakfasts were excellent with great choices to have & our evening meal was excellent too, all staff were very friendly & attentive. Our bed, breakfast & dinner deal break was great value . We had a very easy booking in & checkout experience & we look forward to staying again in the future.

3rd time here and like it better each time we come. Great sized standard room with lovely see view. Nice big comfortable bed. Powerful shower. Food really good with great view of golf course from dining room. Breakfast service was slow on the Sun morning and buffet selection was needing replenished, as food, plates, teaspoons etc ran out.
