Four of us spent a night here on a DBB basis. On first impressions the reception area was lovely and the rooms nice and spacious. The rooms need a bit of an update and some areas in our room were a bit dusty and stained. However, the bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. The room was cool unlike most hotel rooms which are far too hot even when the radiator is low. The two course meal included in the price was very good, with enough choice for everyone. 3 in our group also had dessert which they said was tasty. The wine we had in our room on arrival was also nice. Breakfast was buffet style and there was a decent choice of food which we all enjoyed. Tea and coffee could’ve been warmer but I just made another coffee back in the room. Overall we had a nice time and would likely go back again. Thank you.

was lovely & clean, food was fabulous, had king prawn temperature, steak & and sticky toffee pudding. The room was situated at the back of the hotel & had a lovely view, but in the morning our room was across from laundry & store cupboard so was very noisy, he had a late check out but the weekly check of the fire alarm went off at 11.05, overall had a great stay, but avoid rooms 126 & 127

Great stay food great staff great But there was a pair of gents underpants outside our room (we had paid to upgrade to a courtyard room with patio doors) and an empty beer bottle outside and there was broken glass on the path at the gazebo Hoping to return in April with friends and having again paid extra for same room hope these things can be addressed This is a really nice hotel which we visit on several occasions it would be such a shame if standard's are allowed to slip

sorry to say this was my first visit with my wife to this hotel following some issue in finding the hotel due to wrong road signs we experience the following wine costs plus discrepancies in cider prices and room issues ie room 115 cold due rear window with problem with seal , bathroom door fault and needed to bang it shut , hot rail faulty as was overhead light which I reported on my departure on a plus note hotel staff well mannered and helpful , food excellent as was our price for room

Family weekend away for a couple of days for my husband's birthday took our youngest our 13 year old daughter lovely hotel staff really friendly and very helpful lovely hotel room was great too drink prices are fantastic too defo be back

We had a great time here at this lovely hotel. This was a massive deal which we used for our Anniversary. The staff were lovely and very efficient, the food was amazing, the room was spacious and very clean. Will definitely be back.

Hotel was very welcoming from arrival and throughout the stay. Staff were attentive, food was of a good standard. Room was just at the right temperature - not too hot. The only thing that could be improved is the amount of staff on at bar as the glasses pilled up across the space of the night with a good majority of the bar being covered. No staff member was delegated to support with this task. Manager was aware but appeared to ignore the situation, with more pressure placed on bar staff to undertake. This did not affect our stay but only mentioned as a noticeable improvement that could be made.

What an amazing time we had such a welcome we got on arrival and the dinner was brilliant. Breakfast was great as well. The check out so smooth. The wine was a great xtra. we will be back soon. The deal we got was great. Dinner was lovely and was served quickly. Breakfast was very good also. The accommodation is really chic and modern. Everything would have been brilliant had it not been for, what appeared, to be a funeral party who were in the hotel on our arrival. Staff need to be made aware not to serve patrons when they are drunk and very many of this party clearly were. During dinner they were so loud it spoiled any opportunity to have a quiet meal as they could be overheard everywhere in the building. After dinner we chose to sit in the lobby next to the beautiful warm fires but the drunk men and women at the tables g and blinding loudly meant this opportunity was denied us also. In situations like this a strong manager is needed to handle these parties to ensure the enjoyment of everyone else is not spoiled. I think we were just unlucky to have picked a bad time to attend for dinner and overnight stay and i would hope to return to try again at a future date. I

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and have always found the rooms to be comfortable and clean, and the meals to be enjoyable. This time the menu had changed slightly and the food was exceptional, very enjoyable stay, we will be back!

Don’t normally write reviews but feel I could not let this one go,Will definitely not be back to the riverside lodge hotel the room was not that nice bathroom was pretty tired cracked tiles and yellow stains in the bath . Kettle in the room was yellow round the spout and inside the mattress was not fit for sleeping in one side dipped so far I managed about 1 hours sleep it was so uncomfortable. Plus side food was nice but they did forget about us and we had to wait over half hour for dessert we had ask for it . First time doing one of these deals but if that’s what you get think it will be the last.
