Firstly surprised the cost of this break had gone up by £68 from what we paid when booked through Classic Britain. The set menu has changed, only 4 main courses to choose from. If we chose a dish from the other menu we were only allowed the cost of £17, anything over this amount we had to pay extra. Its a shame things have changed this was our 4th visit but may be our last. Also breakfast staff didnt clear tables, so tables cluttered no room for toast etc. staff stood around talking instead of dealing with guests.

I/we was absolutely thrilled with our stay at the hotel.I was so impressed with everything from the service we received from the staff too the excellent food we received and also the excellent standards of the rooms we stayed in.and have already recommended and will continue to recommend your hotel to all my friends and relatives and certainly intended to return. A very nice hotel, friendly helpful staff, lovely room. Only slight disappointment would be the choice for the set menu was limited although the food on offer was of a good quality.

Excellent location. Accommodation spacious, clean, tidy and well maintained each day. beds comfortable with additional pillows supplied. Staff helpful, pleasant, and cordial. Food good and restaurant staff pleasant and very well organised Great deal through Classic Britain.

The service at reception, the dining room , the bar and housekeeping was perfect. The breakfast was excellent. The dinner menu was varied and both quality of produce and presentation was to be commended. Rooms were up to date , very comfortable and quiet- superb location .

Had booked a twin room, allocated a double room on arrival. On saturday night we were were given a time of 19.45.for dinner, we finished our starter at 20.00 At 20.45 we were still awaiting our main course.I complained and it arrived at 20.50. One small chicken breast and a very small portion of mashed potato with four pieces of look warm broccoli. We were most upset with the wait and the basic food. I complained to the restaurant manager ,who removed my drinks value

Excellent location. Standard room but very comfortable. Small things let it down, especially in the restaurant. Clearing and resetting tables for the NEXT meal whilst still in middle of serving. This happened both at breakfast for lunch / dinner and again at dinner for next morning's breakfast. (Did not even attempt to do this quietly). Appreciate this would be a management instruction but staff could have at least tried to do it with respect to guests still eating (or even yet to eat). Otherwise staff cheerful, approachable and knowledgeable.

Room & staff as always very good but dinner and choice of food on the 2 & 3 day breaks was a great let down. We felt like second class diners. We have been on these breaks often but this was different. Not I am sorry to say for the better

Great hotel with nice view over marine lake. Staff very pleasant. Free parking with Wyndham rewards card. Some slow service at dinner from one member of staff but other staff very good. Breakfast really good, massive choice.

We enjoyed a lovely break at the Ramada at Southport All staff were very professional and friendly Bedrooms were perfect Food was good Breakfast was great We will definitely consider having another break here All in all, great value for money
