Just returned from a 2 night break and had a really lovely time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Hotel tiny bit tired but would not deter us from returning.

Over all we enjoyed the stay the room was fine but definitely needs a new mattress for the bed as we both left with sore backs.

Great Hotel. We had a great time, the room was fab, the staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. We only booked here because the Isles of Glencoe was fully booked but OMG the Ballachulush Hotel beats it hands down. We will definately be back and would recommend it to everyone. Great walks round the hotel and very dog friendly, even to the extent our dog received a chew from the hotel reception when we checked out.

we were at the hotel celebrating our 3 month wedding anniversary. This is our second time staying there and have never been disappointed. Food was fantastic and room had a definite wow factor. Staff very attentive and could not find fault

We stayed in the original part of the building and it was beautiful and the hotel itself is set in a beautiful location. Room was good but walls were a bit on the thin side. Everything else was good and we had a nice stay. Would recommend to anyone. Price we got for the B&B rate was amazing so thanks to Classic Britain/Ballachulish hotel for that.

Looking forward to see some refurbishment as it is looking tired, all floors very noisy, food has improved since my last visit, would be nice to see a chef in the restaurant to meet people, I think drinks a little expensive, staff very pleasant and polite, but think they could do with a little further training and guidance you do not know who is in charge, have stayed on a few occasions and enjoy peace and views

View from the hotel is stunning. Sadly hotel itself is dated and somewhat idiosyncratic. Staff tended not to look very happy and overall we were disappointed with our stay. Food was just about acceptable.

enjoyed our stay at the hotel, staff very friendly, food great. the only down side we had a room right above the kitchen and the drone of the extractor fan was a bit annoying, having said that after dinner finished it went off and didn't disturb our sleep

We stayed at the Ballachulish hotel for 3 nights last week. We have stayed before and chose to return. The service and food were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for staff.Attention in particular of Mhairi on reception, Richard and Frank superb. We had 2 dinners there and one at the Isles of Glencoe. All proved excellent. The bedroom was spacious and well appointed. Also very clean. The old sitting room/lounge is wonderfully decadent and timeless! Belongs to a bygone age, but in keeping with the old highland hotel concept of years ago. My only criticism is that the outside windows/ lochside require some renovation. We shall return.

Our recent stay at the Ballachulish Hotel was enjoyable. Although in places, the decor may have seemed a litle tired, it added to the character of the hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and the service provided whether at Reception or within the bar/restaurant was excellent. A big thanks to the Night Porter who, on our return to the hotel, opened the bar up for us to have a night cap! The only disappointment for us was that we had paid for an upgrade to a superior room and I am not sure we had value for our money as the rest of the group we were with, appeared to have large rooms with kingsize beds or at least this is what they told us!

We had a nice room with a fabulous view for which we did pay extra. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food was good but the dinner menu was limited. We were there on a 2 for 1 deal for dinner bed and breakfast. This was good value but I would not have wanted to pay the full tariff.

The second time we've stayed at this hotel. The staff are very nice & obliging, the food is good & plentiful. The hotel itself is in dire need of a makeover, it is really quite tired & shabby. The room we were in was comfortable enough but the upholstery was dirty & torn, the carpet was grubby looking, the shower flooded and the tiles need re-grouting. The main staircase carpet is threadbare and in several places has worn through completely & needs replacing - a trip hazard & an accident waiting to happen.

Our stay at the ballachulish hotel was a lovely and enjoyable just before Christmas. If your looking for a nice old style hotel this is the one. Evening meals were fantastic. I would have graded a ten but improvement on the breakfast is needed (no haggis) Which we were looking forward to. Service for drinks was a little slow with our meals we had finished our starter before we had our drinks both nights, but overall couldn't grumble too much. We had read comments on trip advisor which made us apprehensive about our stay but our stay was great and did meet our expectations.

Good character! I know the hotel is very old and this shows in the bedroom, decor, however I do think the room is in need of an upgrade or at least for the carpet to be steam cleaned.

We found this hotel to be in a beautiful spot with gorgeous views over the loch. We stayed in the newer West Wing and the room was charming. Staff were lovely and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed stay beautiful location good food most staff friendly but poor welcome from 2 young girls at reception more interested in chatting on phone and between themselves than dealing with guests also bar effectively closed at 10.30 on a Saturday night ie could only pay with credit card via night porter

Our allocated room was unclean including the bathroom. However, the staff were very accommodating and we were moved to a better room within the old part of the hotel.
