Crown Hotel, Harrogate

Staff fine. Room spacious and very clean, nice bathroom with natural light. Food only ok, a few minor complaints. The chicken at dinner had very little sauce on it. The plates at breakfast cold, the heater clearly not working. But value for money. Bit surprised to be charged an exorbitant £12 to park the car, and insisted in it on arrival too.

Hotel n staff fine but stayd 3 months ago parking was free but was charged £12 this time i askd if it was rite reseption said yes the charge was put in place 3 months ago wich i found very excessive from free to £12!!.. but ither than that stay was very enjoyable

stayed for one night on a Sunday deal and couldn't fault it, a beautiful old hotel in the centre of town full of character our room was spacious clean and comfortable the evening meal and breakfast were both excellent, would definitely return

Stayed in this hotel I believe 4 times in the last 13 month's which tells I am more than happy with it. Allowed to check in early, new staff on reception but just as polite and professional. Room this time was not the largest nut acceptable, love the character of the building and location. We stayed for food for the first time and it was lovely with good service defo recommend the restraunant. Only downside is parking which there is not much of it but plenty of parking in the town centre. Booked to go back in March 2019 and take son for the first time so he can experience staying in a hotel.

Lovely old hotel well maintained large bedroom and bathroom all very clean. Location is brilliant minutes from the centre and the xmas market was literally opposite. We arrived at 11am and got parked at the front of the hotel but on check on people were being directed to The White Hart hotel car park. The parking was £12 which I expected for the location. Breakfast was in a lovely large room and there was plenty of choice. Would definitely stay here again. Got a great price from myhotelbreak.

Had a lovely stay, £50 offer for food and drink worked very well, excellent room apart from some noise Food good, staff excellent, will use this offer and hotel again, location ideal for the christmas market. Parking cost £12 but rang and reserved a space

Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in this beautiful old hotel. Fantastic location , delicious food, lovely staff, fantastic value for money. The only criticism is that the room could be updated, it was spacious and clean and a comfortable bed.

Lovely hotel. Only thing let it down for me was the apparent room upgrade as stated in the advertisement, this to me was not the case. Room clean but had a broken shower door and the extraction vent from the kitchen ran up the wall right next to our window. Also I found the £12 to park on the hotel car park a bit steep. Breakfast was expecially good.

Overall, really enjoyed the 2 night stay. Have stopped here before, which was acknowledged at check-in as we were upgraded to a superior room - much appreciated! Since our last stay earlier in the year, they have started charging for car parking, which increases overall cost of 'the deal' by £24, which may influence our future hotel choices. Food good at both breakfast & evening meal. ALL staff were most helpful throughout our stay. Consideration could be given to installing a safe and fridge in superior rooms.

Stayed for 2 nits on a DBB deal dinner on one night with cream tea on arrival and a bottle of wine, the dinner and service was excellent, the cream tea was not worth having as it was one small scone with jam and " squirty" cream! not clotted cream as advertised on the menu and choice of tea or coffee, the building is beautiful and well cared for, we had two rooms one had a nice outlook good size and warm! The second could not have been more different view of a wall very dark a bit like been in a cell, no light and cold had to have an electric heater as the radiators did not work! Went to reception to change room but the other rooms shown were as bad if not worse, can't understand why when two rooms booked together were so different!! The £12 charged for parking per night was a bit excessive! Which boosted the total cost!

Another great night away at The Crown Harrogate. Staff, especially in dining room, cheerful and happy to deal with special requests, menu had good selection of tasty food and free room upgrade too. Will definitely be back.

Checked in early room quite small bed very small also headboard needs to be replaced as all leather coming off. Food was ok not as nice or as much choice as when we stayed in May. Would still return as hotel in a perfect place right in centre of Harrogate still couldn’t park at hotel as no spaces .

Wouldn't return, very dated, can hear everyone walking passed your room because of the creaking floor boards, can't walk across the room without making loads of noise probably annoying the people below, the whole hotel needs a serious renovation

Ideal location however hotel needs a bit of tlc. Breakfast great and plenty of it. Evening food just pub food no need to book evening meal as plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.

On the first night the noise was so loud ..as its only single glazed sash windows so o barely slept. There were no free rooms.. so i got industrial ear plugs and slept better the second night.. Breakfast choice was very good. It could just do with a bit of updating in the rooms..compared to other places ive stayed in Harrogate .
