Excellent trip on a fantastic deal. The meal was superb. The room and bathroom lovely but a littke chilly on arrival as the heating only comes on when you put the key in tge dlot. Overall a fantastic hotel. Lovely.

Stay nearly spoilt on arrival. We' forgotten the printed voucher which my daughter had gifted. Instead of saying "no problem- just contact her and ask her to e-mail it to us at the hotel" she started going on about the voucher being like a book token and you wouldn't expect a book without a voucher. I gave her my card details and offered to pay. Once in our room and feeling a bit upset I texted my son in law who found out the hotels e mail address and sent it. A very nice man at reception confirmed that this had been received and would be attached to the bill the next morning . It's a shame that the negative and patronising woman on the desk had been so unhelpful and had embarrassed us in front of a queue of customers

Room was not the one booked and was full of cobwebs was moved next day but had to pay for upgrade and had to pay for water that was meant to be free. Service in restaurant was good first night and was really busy on 2nd night however was very slow service and we had a table beside kitchen even though it was not at all busy, it was therefore difficult to enjoy meal with all the coming and going from the kitchen although the meals themselves were what saved the day.

Fantastic stay, booked two twin rooms but one came as a double. Also meant to get chocolates in the room on arrival which were'nt there. We asked reception but still never got them at check out. 50% off spa treatment was a great deal but would have expected robes & slippers and glad i hadnt paid full price. Dinner was beautiful although under staffed for busy restaurant. Breakfast choice fantastic but again not enough staff and service slow. The deal was at a great price and would return again with a similar deal.

I booked this weekend for my daughter and her partner. They had a great weekend. They were very happy with all the facilities, and enjoyed all the meals. Hoping to book for ourselves sometime soon. she has given me the ratings to put in.

Had a great few days, lovely big room great. Great meals with a good choice, they even catered for a very fussy vegetarian. Only downside for me was within the room, you had to place the key card in slot to activate power which meant when returning to our room there had been no heating on, not so good in cold wet January!!

Had an overnight stay on Sun 2nd March for my Mums Bday.This was our second stay at this lovely hotel. Found our first room smelling strongly of smoke, all rooms are non smoking but obviously the previous guest had been smoking. Complained to the lovely Reception staff who apologised and immediately offered us another room. This room was perfect. Hotel and staff are second to none and i cant wait to go back again for my Bday on 1st May !!!!!

Had a very delightful stay although we were to be given chocolates as part of the deal which we didn't get although we were given a change of room as the room we were given was miles away as my husband was recovering from a stroke. My disappointment was didn't get to use spa as they were fully booked so if go back on a deal book up in advance for spa. Would revisit food really good and Peebles very nice location.was very busy

On arriving at the MacDonald Cardrona, I was disappointed to see building work was happening at the front. On entering the hotel we were greeted with a cheery receptionist. Our room was quite old fashioned, but nice and clean. Our bottle of wine was not in the room as yet so we had to request it. The hotel was in lovely grounds, but quite far out of town. We were disappointed with the service upon ordering 2 cocktails these took over half an hour to come. The dinner was quite cold and we were hungry afterwards. We sat with an empty glass and noone asked if we would like a drink and there was noone about to ask for another drink. I don't think i would recommend this hotel to anyone due to the food and drink. I thought the drinks were way overpriced for a 4* hotel. I often use Classic Britain and haven't been disappointed in any hotels apart from this one Thanks Paula Muir

thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the Hotel Cardrona. Staff was very efficient and pleasent. Breakfast was very sufficient and plenty of choice, only thing I could mention is it could have been a wee bit warmer, plates etc., I would certainly stay there again.

Seated in reception area for dinner - Head Waiter not helpful and rude, but eventually moved us. Food was cold and one small dish of veg for four people - not adequate. Asked for more veg and when signing the tab on leaving we were told we would not be charged for extra veg - I should hope not! Breakfast was a fiasco cold coffee and finished breakfast before toast was served again Head Waiter was rude. Certainly won't be back at this Hotel.
