Fantastic overnight for my husband's birthday. Lovely room. Great food. Fab tails. Good value. Breakfast was really busy but Ryan and his team were brilliant. Totally pulled it all together. Well done!

What can I say a 5 star hotel at a fraction of the cost we could not fault any member of staff we dealt with and the room given was a twin room and the beds were bigger than normal so it was heaven. The meal on first night was fantastic and in with the price we paid for our two night stay. It was that nice we dined at the hotel the following night and it was just as good and worth the money. Breakfast was amazing and due to COVID the staff get your coffee, toast and continental for you and bring it to your table along with full cooked breakfast of course. If you have a chance try this hotel out you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

first impression's as you walk in really lovely. we were on a Dbb deal best available room. we got rm 116 opened the door room stinkin of cigarettes with window opened. on going into bathroom large rusted mark on bath size of gulf ball. went back to reception got another room much better two large double beds large bathroom. then 9.50pm all the electricity went out in our room another trip to reception. dinner we knew it would be a different menu to usual one. we could pick starter and main. starter ok. then main we wanted steak pie and fish both none left. ended up picking chicken and a burger was ok. after we finished table opposite there dinner arrives both fish and chips must have caught them in the fish pond lol or they were paying full price not on Dbb deal. nice bar and restaurant good pleasant staff. probably not use again. cos of dinner.

Check in was slightly delayed but staff could not have been nicer and more apologetic about it. Room was lovely and spacious. Clean, comfortable and has everything you would need. Dinner was delicious and service was great. Breakfast was well organised and again could not fault the service. Lounge area is lovely with plenty of seating. Would like to return in better weather as the outdoor areas look stunning.

Had a pleasant overnight stay at this great hotel. Quick check in and directed to room which was well maintained and very clean. Very friendly bar staff and reasonable prices. Had a fantastic meal at night and a lovely breakfast in morning. Hotel staff through out were friendly and welcoming. Hope to stay again in future.

The room wasn’t really up to much, it could have been doing with being redecorated as the carpets were stained and the walls marked. It was very basic. The food was excellent, although the service for drinks etc could have been better, we had ordered our drink with our starter and had finished our main before it came. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, there was an excellent choice but the layout was confusing and they could have been doing with a bigger section for the food as there was a large que of people at most times. Overall our stay was nice but we would probably just return for food in future.

The one time that I can say that I wished I hadn't stayed here. Christmas party's on both nights which resulted in noisey corridor off and on till 4am. Cues at breakfast for hot buffet where a staff member insisted on everyone replacing the lids over food although next person waiting to use , so everyone touching lids and serving utensils. Also seemed no option for alternative breakfast. Worst was the lack of in our bathroom. First day would described it as luke warm, next day cold, even after letting it run for 15 mins, couldn't shower or shave for departure. Being busy is not an excuse in my eyes. The hotel system should be able to cope with all rooms being occupied. Have stayed here many times and been happy but disappointed with this short break.

The rooms were very outdated and all staff were great apart from receptionist. The showers didn’t provide either did bath or sink. The food was very good apart from not being able to set down to eat till 7:45pm.

Had another great stay at the Riverside been to this hotel lots off times going back for Christmas party night food was excellent room lovely and big and staff excellent always be one off my favourite hotels

Room was clean etc. Service in the restaurant was poor staff wondering about with plates of food. My order came it was wrong by the time my food came my husbands was cold. Portions were small too. Won’t be back im afraid there was a party night on and we felt they took priority over other paying guests

Just returned from a 2 night stay here. Hotel is lovely well maintained and clean. Staff are all friendly and willing to help. Evening meal was great and so was the full Scottish breakfast Sure set us up for the day. Would highly recommend

We had another enjoyable 2 days at the Riverside Rachel was lovely as always congrats to Catherine on her promotion again so lovely and well deserved, Liz was also brilliant when we mislaid something went all out to assist thankfully we found it in our room ! sure to return soon, thanks again.

Four of us had a two night stay at the Riverside we had a great time lovely hotel food was good staff very helpful clean and tidy been a few times and will be back again

Nice enough hotel very disappointed in our room with very little privacy .we had to keep the curtains closed for the entire stay as their was a housing estate that looked right onto the bedroom.

We received a friendly welcome. Our room was on the first floor and we found the step risers quite high which caused a little difficulty both ascending and descending. We had booked a twin room but had been given a double room which we just accepted. The was scalding and there was no notice of caution required. The shower was over a bath and as we are both in our mid-seventies, it was not perfect. When using the shower, the water temperature varied considerably between scalding and freezing. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and the food was delicious. The hotel is well located for seeing various parts of Ayrshire. All in all, the hotel offered good value for money.

Excellent hotel, food was really good & all staff very welcoming. Reception / dining room really modern decor however rooms not to the same standard. Will defo be booking again before the deal ends.
