Great place good food was disappointed as we could not get into the spa for any treatments our deal we were on giving us 50% discount we know how busy this can be although you can book in advance which we tried to do on the days were there I believe there was no avaibilty until next week surely they should keep certain times for us on these deals on a good note great upgrade on our room we use classic Britain deals several times over the year we always would pass you're deals on to others

Food and service were excellent.The hotel is rather tired,bedrooms we had were fine but some public areas definitely needing some TLC.Setting is beautiful and it was a great deal so overall we would recommend this hotel for a short break,especially good for golfers.

Enjoyed a Saturday night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. The double room on the 2nd floor was very spacious and it overlooked the golf course. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent (dinner & breakfast)although the drink was somewhat expensive (

20 minutes to get served with a drink when we arrived.2hours 15 minutes for dinner service,returned main course not cooked,recieved wrong dessert for final course had gave up by this time didn't want to wait any longer.breakfast next day milk jug had something floating on top of milk.complained when leaving and received money off bill which does not compensate for wasting what was supposed to be a special occasion.this is our second bad experience at a mcdonalds hotel.

Enjoyable, good value stay. Beautiful surroundings. Mum and I have enjoyed every 'Sunday night special' we've been on with classic Britain.

The only negative was the service slowed down in the restaurant when it was busy.Would visit and stay again in the future.

We discussed this at length with your representative on 5th June. The dining room service was totally unacceptable. We arrived for dinner at 6.30 and left about 9 having given up on the last course. During this long wait the staff ignored us. The maitre'd disappeared when we asked to speak to him. We complained to the reception and asked for a refund on our second night. Eventually we were told that we would not be charged for either night and left the hotel after one night. Our main complaint is not the delay as such but being totally ignored by the restaurant staff while we sat looking at empty plates. We felt this was the height of rudeness. Also the meal was inadequate for the hotel standard and price charged. We are familiar with "nouvelle cuisine" but one would expect at least to have some vegetables in the included price. Very disappointed with the eating arrangements. If you only wanted one course, as many older people do, your option was the golfers bar downstairs. Not ideal! For two curries and two small glasses of very poor wine we were charged

A very good hotel and a very good offer price for our short stay. Weather was mostly poor but we were lucky that it improved when we decided to play "half price " golf. Recommended but food is too expensive. We ate out in Peebles instead.

Just back from a two night stay at the Cardrona. This is one of if not the best hotel I have booked through Classic Britain. 5* luxury.

Unfortunately, we were left a little disappointed by a number of issues during our stay. Firstly, when we checked in, we were told that we could not get a dinner reservation in the restaurant until 8.45pm. Given the fact that we had a one year old with this, this was unfeasible and were then informed by the receptionist that we could have our meal either in the cocktail bar next to the restaurant or downstairs in Spikes bar. We arrived at the cocktail bar around 6.30pm and asked the member of staff at the restaurant entrance for menus to order from. I was told someone would bring them over. A second member of staff then informed us we could not eat in the cocktail bar and had to have our meal in Spikes bar. In addition, to then be told we had to order off the bar menu was extremely disappointing. My father in law ordered prawns and was then told that there was none available and had to choose another starter. This was a special occassion celebrating a family birthday and to then be the only guests alone in a bar eating bar food was not what we had in mind nor would have expected from a hotel of this standard. However, I have to say that the staff in Spikes bar (James and Murray) were extremely helpful and courteous. After dinner we arrived back at our room to a note under the door stating that the hotel was very busy and to try to go for breakfast prior to 9am to avoid a rush. I have never experienced this staying at any other hotel and would expect staff to be able to cope with a high volume of guests. Furthermore, there was no towels in the spa and we had to take ours from the room meaning we had soaking wet towels to use following our shower.

This was the second time we stayed at the Cardrona hotel.As before we found the whole experience excellent.From the moment we checked in the staff are very freindly and cheery without being false,as we have found some other Hotels.We booked as part of a discount deal from a local paper,and at no time throughout the time we were there did we have to mention this,as again we have had to at other places.We cant praise the staff enough for their efforts and special mention to \bob in the Pro shop for accomodating us with an early tee-off time when he didnt have to as the course was Very busy,and this is the second time he has done this for us.Its the little things that make a difference.The ladys had spa treatments which were Half price but in no way half treatments!The masseuse did a fantastic job.All in all a relaxing and fantastic time AGAIN!so much so we are going to ,make it an annual trip. Thanks again to all the staff,keep up the good work and keep on smiling. P.S food was fantastic,rooms spotless,only critisism,the wine was a tad expensive at

Thank you for a superb 2 night stay catching up with friends. Room, service & food all first class. Boys enjoyed golf. Unfortunately spa fully booked for girls. Recommend booking ahead & will do so next time.

Beautiful hotel. Staff very nice and helpful. Unfortunately on day we arrived there was a fire and had to stand out in rain and wind for a while which fid not help my health. Another negative was that chairs and tables in lounge very low and not suitable for someone with bad back. Was meaning to eat in lounge but was unable because of low seats so had to eat in dining roomand as I am anly to eat only 1 course it made it quite expensive. The positive was that ehen I was unable to go down for breakfast they sent it up to me.
